I am really hoping that was due to the time with the Jazz. Since these are players with expiring contracts and no history with the Jazz I'm hoping Corbin does the right thing. Wishful thinking I know...
I will be honest and say that I didn't see Trey Burke play at all this year until the night of the draft. In watching the two summer league games so far I've been a bit underwhelmed with his play, but it's summer league and doesn't mean anything. The things I did notice that I felt was really...
I watched the game and thought my expectations were probably tainted a bit by the excitement of the Burke pick. A lot of us have been on a bit of a high since draft night. I don't think it's fair to Burke to expect a lot from his first game, summer league or not. As was already mentioned...
It was actually 2 ACL surgeries. I made the mistake of thinking it was three when I read the Wikipedia article about him. Not that two isn't bad, but three is definitely worse.
I hate to say it, but you sound like a fair weather fan. I think this is the perfect opportunity for the young Jazz players to develop. They even made it pretty idiot proof for Corbin to not screw up rotations. I am ecstatic about what has happened since draft night, and think that even if...
It's ok I misread the article. The 2010 date was when they discovered that it was an illegal workout where he had had the first ACL injury in 2007. Still two ACL injuries aren't great. Hopefully he bounces back more quickly than Al did after his.
I was just reading Brandon Rush's Wikipedia page. Has he really had three ACL surgeries? The Wikipedia article mentions 2007, 2010 and then there is the one from last year as well.
After hearing all of the details of the trade, I feel a lot better about it. We didn't lose anything really, and we got a lot of assets plus enough salary to cover the floor I believe and knowing we are renouncing rights to Paul, I think it's clear the youngsters will all be starting. I'm...
I feel a little better about it with the picks because it means that we have three expiring contracts and Paul won't likely be back. I just hope Corbin doesn't start the Warriors garbage players.
@KBergCBS:
"One other player, yet to be notified, goes to Utah with Jefferson and Biedrins, source says. Warriors get back one non-guaranteed contract."
I realize these contracts are expiring, but why on earth would we help the Warriors? If it turns out we get just Biedrens and Jefferson and nothing else, we really took it in the posterior.
More from @ESPNSteinLine:
"Also: Latest signals on Warriors say GS-Dubs still aggressively exploring their trade options but ONLY w/Jefferson & Biedrins. NOT Bogut"
I'm pretty confident the reason that Golden State has opened talks with the Jazz is to avoid having to give up one of their young players. They could just do a S&T with the Lakers, but I'm sure the Lakers would demand either Klay or Barnes. I suspect the most they'd give us in return is a...
