The Utah Jazz roster next year, who is going to be on the team

KOC signing Okur to an extension was a mistake, not a plan for anything. Expiring contracts are out, trade exceptions are in.

    Memphis @ Utah :: Monday : December 6 : 2K10 :: 7 PM

OMG Xavier Henry's a year younger than Gordie H and he's more 'NBA-ready'. OMG!

    Hayward Rookie Comparisons

In preseason? And his one good game in preseason? Ironic indeed. I miss it when the NY pick was still a pick.

Lets Hear It For The Second Unit

What's strange is that individually, the stats of the second unit are, on paper, mediocre to average. The bench offense revolves around CJ's 11ppg but on what seems like streaky 40% shooting; the other four (Watson/Price/Elson/Fes) each score 3-4ppg. Apart from Miles (23mpg), each averages about...

Lets Hear It For The Second Unit

Sloan has long used the two-PG lineup -- as far back as stretches of Stockton-Eisley as I can remember. Or some combination of Arroyo/Lopez/MoWilliams. Or the rather maligned Fisher-Deron combo.

Falling out of love with Al Jefferson

whoa, honzward has given up on Hayward this year? Or maybe there's still hope in January?

Falling out of love with Al Jefferson

And all wins as it happens. He has reallly done better since his awful play in that loss against the Spurs. Keep it up, you 6-10 280 guy you.

So Memo went through a full practice today........

Okur needs to practice defense. He's still one half of the old Boozer-Memo frontline matador club.

only if kevin o connor saw one of my post in the offseason

For what he signed for ($2.2M + $2.4M player option year), if the Jazz had offered him what the Jazz gave Bell ($10M over 3 years), I'm pretty sure he would've gone for the almost $8M guaranteed money extra. The Lakers also wanted Bell but maybe were only offering what they gave Brown plus that...

only if kevin o connor saw one of my post in the offseason

Wow, Shannon Brown's doing really well through 15 games: 50%+ on both FG and 3PT, 90% FT at 12ppg off the bench. And the Lakers signed him up for 2.2M for 1 year (+ player option). Not to worry, KOC has Raja signed for 3 years for 3-3.4M a year until he's 36.

I know this is early but.......

It's a good trade idea. Iguodala would be great. Just to note that Nocioni's last year is a team option so he could be considered expiring next year if it doesn't work out. Those two players would be good value for AK. But, based on that supposed Melo blockbuster with the Jazz settling for...

Can the C.J. Miles experiment please end?

You mean like when Miles shot 0-5 and 0-6 from 3 in back-to-back games this season? Very good game from Miles though. He's really become comfortable this season as off the bench scorer.
  14. J

    Starting lineup.

Here's to some Bench Al. Look at Miles who actually seems to relish being the focus of the Jazz's second unit offense. Pair him and Jefferson's low-post-only play to further strengthen the bench. That will also be addition by subtraction with the starting unit. Also agree that Fes would be...

    Matthews Career Night and Interview

That's front-loading. It's within the rules, it's done. Even the Jazz did it when they stole Boozer, remember? Coming off his play last season and what he's done starting for Portland, it's possible Matthews could've at least brought 15 ppg and solid defense at SG. Mid-level money for that...

    Matthews Career Night and Interview

In Matthews' two starts with Portland, he shot 11-19 for 30 points and 8-18 for 20 points. That's 51% shooting. Those include 5-10 and 3-8 from 3pt. That's 44% on 4 treys made a game. Portland also won both games. It's one thing to debate whether or not it was right for the Jazz not to match...

Falling out of love with Al Jefferson

Because it's not about bringing Boozer back. Jefferson's cluelessness on offense and incompetence on defense can stand on their own.
  18. J

    Starting lineup.

Did you misss those lots of times with the bigs bunched up there fighting for rebounds, that a shorter, not exactly quick, player like Blair would beat Jefferson to the rebound, offensive or defensive, to grab or tap it away. And also McDyess is 6-9 and 36.
  19. J

    Starting lineup.

Problem is smaller players like DeJuan Blair can dominate Jefferson too.
