Is he officially out for the season? Cause if he is, then probably #2 behind Philly... but not far behind.

This sucks like none other. Cleveland was one of those teams I still had a little hope we could be worse than. Noooooope.

Cleveland is gonna bring that dumb **** kid to the lottery again and win, draft Wiggins, and lure LeBron back.

fml

Pretty bad night for the tank so far save sacremento

The Bucks are up 9 on the Lakers in LA at the half. May as well concede a top 2 pick to them, especially if they dump Gasol.

The best part about that game is that both teams didn't score in the first two minutes until they realized somebody actually HAD to score before the game was over. It was like the unstoppable pile of &^%&^ versus the immovable suck. . .

I honestly think the one thing that Lindsey has done wrong with this tank is Corbin. If we were going into this season with the real purpose being to get a top 2 draft pick then Corbin need to be let go or extended. The reason the GS tank worked was that Mark Jackson was happy to sit his best players at the end of games to make sure they lost. He knew he was coming back the next year and by doing that he was going to get another good player. Corbin is in a position that he has to Show that he can coach. So he can ether get extended by the Jazz or get another Job. If we really want to tank (And this is the reason I don't think the Jazz are committed to do so) then we need a coach that is on board with it.

You cant ask the players to tank. But if you have the coach on board it goes a long way to getting it done.

Me and spycam were talkin about clevelands recent picks during the jazz game last night

Waiters at #3 iirc when he wasn't mocked anywhere near there I don't think.
Tristan Thompson also at 3 I think and that was a pretty big reach.
Anthony bennet at #1, they have no idea what they are doing.

Irving was the right guy at #1 but he was also a no brainer pick

Both Waiters and Thompson were selected at the 4th slot.

Ya I couldn't remember..... reaches either way

Cleveland has proved they have no idea what they are doing. Couldn't win a title with Lebron. Went after CJ Miles, and Bynum.

They don't deserve a top 5 pick.

That is true. Still I like Thompson personality, attitude and skillset wise. He's just hard to pair with another inside player as his midrange game develops very slowly. He'd be a guy that I'd trade down for for future draft considerations.

Agreed. Thompson Is not a bad player

Guys... so the only teams in front of us are the Bucks (who just got Sanders back), Philly and NY (no incentive to tank)???

If I were Lindsey I would feel like we're doing pretty well tanking...

But look at the recent trends. Now that the schedule has lightened up, the Jazz are playing .400-.500 ball. There are many teams sliding back to Utah that got off to surprising starts. Jazz will finish around 8th. Book it!

Its not where we are, its our trajectory that he shouldn't like. The Lakers, Cavs, Sixers, Bucks, Brooklyn, Denver and Memphis are all 3-7 or worse in their last 10. Meanwhile there are 7 other teams with 10 or fewer wins. The Jazz are gaining ground on LA, Memphis, Denver, and are 2 wins away from being better than all of the non playoff East teams. All of this after starting 1-13.
