I think betting big on NBA win totals pre season would be my best hope at being a successful gambler.

Go KIngs, Go TWolves. Both will probably lose but they're putting up admirable fights, especially Sacramento without Cousins and Gay. Too bad Washington wasted their great game against Phoenix tonight. Why couldn't they get blown out, rest their starters during garbage time and played fantastic tomorrow night against Utah?

Not going to be a good night for the tank tomorrow with a likely Jazz victory and several other non-playoff teams playing against much stronger opponents.

Pretty much. I told (asked) my wife that I was going to bet Charlotte big months in advance of the lines but wasn't going to drive clear the hell to Wendover just to place the bet and lose the ticket a week later.

I'm always surprised at the pre-season lines, but the bookies don't give a damn how dumb the crowd makes them look. They make money either way. I'm also surprised someone hasn't opened a hedge fund to take advantage of public stupidity like this and Mitt Romney intrade odd.

No, but they're 1-0 already with tonight's win over LA so I might get lucky without putting in that dumb amount of effort.

It's not inconceivable for the Jazz to be tied with them after 10 games, even if it's a long shot that the Jazz go on that bad a losing streak.

Well the first one was easy. LA on a road trip, 2nd night of a back to back, best players: 85 year old Achilles-less Kobe Bryant and 82 year old Pau Gasol who looks like he's 75 because he's from Spain. Oh and Orlando on a homestand, had a day of rest. So that would've been a pick I made as well. Let's see if you can make it a streak

I dont think Orlando is a lock to be worse than us either. They have decent pieces. I could see them getting better.

We are also right in the middle of an easy stretch. March gets a lot harder. We just have to survive this stretch and lose as many as we can. These little injuries are helping some. So thats a good sign. We are sitting guys with minor injuries. And they arent career threatening. So its going good imo. I think people are panicking too quickly. We don't want to be terribly bad. Just bad enough.

Jazz schedule is starting to get pretty tough. From now to the end of February the only games against team with <.500 records is Sac, @LAL, Phi (2nd night of back to back), Brooklyn (who has been playing much better), Boston, @Cleveland.

The Cleveland game starts a 6 game Eastern road trip to start out a brutal March (10/17 on the road, approx 10/17 against possible playoff teams, multiple back to backs).

April doesn't get much easier. It will be interesting to see how Utah does down the stretch with such a tough schedule and no hopes of making the playoffs.
