2011 draft.....

Taking Biyombo #3 wouldn't be that much of a reach because people were talking about Minnesota taking him #1 before the lottery, and even #2 today, but they have narrowed down their choices to Williams and Kanter.

DraftExpress loves Biyombo so much they have him as the #3 best prospect, it wouldn't be a reach according to them

They list Kanter as the 12th best prospect

Not saying anyone is right or wrong, it's just amazing how wildly the opinion of the board swings with each tweet.

Wait until the season starts, opinions change based upon each game. One game Hayward is a HOF candidate and the next game people start complaining about why we didn't pick George..

I've been pretty solid on my opinion to avoid Kanter at all costs.

Yep, that's fair. And for all those that continually waffle, that's perfectly okay too. That's the great part of being a fan ... we don't have to be accountable.

But we could still see if there picked in that spot Bentley. I think it would be fun. Esp in a year like this were it is so unpredictable

It amazes me how the college player of the year gets so much hate. No, he is not Lebron James, but the guy has offensive skills that any NBA team could use.

What player are they going to pick up at 17 that is going to make them not suck on defense? Fahried? He can't make a team good defensively, he can add rebounding. Might as well take Jimmer and play to the strengths of your roster.

Givony not a fan of Kanter. I guess he supposedly saw a few highlights from his prep school days and doesnt think he plays defense. Probably the only site that has him that low.

The truth is that basketball prospects are the hardest to evaluate of the major sports. No one knows what they are talking about and that includes people who work in front offices. It is a complete crapshoot unless you have guys like LeBron or Tim Duncan available.

Chad Ford has no idea. He thought Darko was going to be a perennial All-Star.

Givony has no idea. Go read DraftExpress's profile of Ronnie Brewer. It is laughable. He projects Brewer as an NBA PG who handles the ball similar to a Brandon Roy. Brewer's handle was no terrible. No way could he be a primary ball handler for an NBA team.

I disagree. Baseball is the toughest sport to truly evaluate talent in. The word "potential" gets thrown around more in baseball than any other sport.

I really hope Kanter is still the man for Utah. Unless behind closed doors they see that he's clearly overrated.

I'm fine with Bismack or someone else only if they are convinced Kanter is not their man. If they blow this pick it will
come back to bite us big time. We don't have to get an all-star here, but we have to get a player that clearly improves the team.

Please get this right KOC.

A athletic freak with a legit center's wingspan yeah i'd take him on the jazz. After watching a couple prospects play defense and watch Biyombo. It's no comparison.

Are you comfortable with the fact he could be 22 with no offensive game developed whatsoever? If that's the case we are looking at a shot blocking version of Reggie Evans, possibly Ben Wallace at best.
If he is really 18 then there would be hope, and possibly worthy of a #3 pick in a weak draft.
