What's new

2011 draft.....

I don't know what you're looking at, I see legs with some nice girth, stretched over a giant. 215 at the draft combine, 4 years ago. Putting on 15 pounds is totally believable.

How do you see "girth" in Kevin's legs? Have you ever seen him in real life from a descent seat?

GIRTH!

Not that its a big deal but Lockes latest tweet.
"I have been watching Derrick Williams for the last 2 hours -- HE DOESN'T PLAY HARD !!!!!!!"

I have eyes? I don't hold most people to bodybuilder standards. His legs aren't huge, but they certainly aren't skinny. Compare his legs to someone like Evans, and you can see where Durant has a built-in weight advantage of 20-25 lbs, especially considering KD's probably got a few inches in height and span anyway.

And as far as "power" and "posting up", there is more to the equation than weight. How long are his femurs and where does his pelvis sit (where is his center of gravity)? Does he have natural, inordinate strength? Besides that, posting up isn't is game and you can have a chicken or egg argument about that but it doesn't change that it's not.

I don't know why I'm even talking about this. Kevin Durant is 230 pounds. You can believe that or not.

Maybe with shoes and clothes on. Maybe.

You do know that as soon as Locke starts knocking a prospect like this that is who we well draft right? Did the same thing with Hayward last year. I hope he is right again LOL

Edit: Ok just went and read Locke's report on NBA.com He really doesn't like what he sees. And the 2 questions I have about Williams (is he a SF and can he defend) according to Locke seem to be NO's. If Locke is right then I don't really want Williams. We don't need another undersized 4 that doesn't play D.

Now put up the Utah State kid's stats so we can definitively prove there's no difference between all 4.
