2013 Chicago Combine May 15-19

Hmm. That smacks of McCollum to me, but could also include KCP.

Exactly my thinking. Bazz & McCollum should be off the board by #14 though, so KCP is a real possibility. As I said in the draft thread, it's not a home run it, but it's a piece we could really use.

Read: Bye Bye Randy Foyle.

I'm leaving for a road trip to the West Coast next Friday. Should be gone for about a month. Won't be able to be on Jazzfanz for the draft :(

Oh ya! Weren't you thinking of stopping by Utah? Screw posting online about the draft, you could talk to us in person :)

It might have to do with the springiness of the hardwood. I could only get my fingertips over, but I had to time it right and get a running jump.

Very possible. The gym I usually play in is my Universities gym and the floors desperately need re-waxing. The gym I could dunk was the gym the city used for their adult league. Those were just re-waxed before the season and they were great.

Muhammed told @slcdunk he was told by Corbin the Jazz were looking for a scorer and who was versatile on the wing.

I wouldn't like getting Bazz. He seems like he'll be a high usage, low efficient player like Al. No wonder Corbin was talking to him.

He can score very efficiently. The only problem is what else does he bring to the table. He is a decent rebounder, but he needs work on his ability to play on a team. I would be very excited to have him.

Would be interesting if we got Shabazz at 14 then just converted Alec to the full time PG. Or if we went out and got a Calderon and drafted a young PG like Kabongo at 21.

My thoughts exactly. He also has questionable integrity like Sidney Lowe. He's a perfect fit Corbin.

Really? What on earth has impressed you about Kabongo? His high school recruitment? He hasn't done anything to convince me he's even a third string backup.

hmmmmmm,,,, Karasev? Even though he's not at the combine they're probably taking a good hard look at him if what Tyron said is true.

Forizzle. After the combine, the first PG i'm taking at 21 if we don't get one at 14 is Larkin.

He had an OK 1st year, then had a rough 2nd year because of the whole NCAA ban thing. He still managed to get to the FT line a high amount, average a good number of assist (and TO's, but his UT teammates were sub-par at best), and improve his FT% from freshman to sophomore year. I don't love him, but I think he is a good upside pick.

3 days into the combine and the only jazz news is this and Schroeder telling about upcoming Utah workout.

Larkin's size is a huge turnoff. He just isn't short, he is short and has no length. How many starting PG"s are there in the NBA like that? Ty Lawson and ......... He looks like a good backup, but I don't see starter material.

Bongo = crap
Larkin = more crap

The correct answer at 21 is Nate Wolters :)

He's played and played extremely well, the only gamble is whether or not his game will translate. The other two would be done because you hope they will get a lot better.

Wolters has the storyline too. Small school, unrecruited, unathletic, but creative and hard working.

I'm not super interested in any of them at #21.
