What's new

2013 Chicago Combine May 15-19

Is it just me or is there anyone else out there that would love to see a reality show featuring Kanter and Adams as BFF's?

Sounds like gold to me.

Chad Ford talkin about the Jazz.

Definitely worth listening to.

Ford thinks the Jazz could decide to go with Schroder at #14 (everyone knows we're looking for a PG), but he's convinced they want a PG who can really shoot the ball to spread the floor for Favors/Kanter. He says he would try to package our picks for McCollum.

Yep. He also thought that Adams could go lottery.

I'm torn on McCollum vs. Schroeder. Different players who put pressure on teams in different ways. I like Schroeder's ability to drive and defend though. Schroeder is also the sharper passer, so I see that as a way he can make other players better.

Schroeder could be there at #14. McCollum will cost you #14 AND #21. If there isn't much between them in terms of their projections.. then it's an easy choice.

... having said that, would you rather have Rondo as your PG or Stephen Curry?

I have never been super high on anyone in this draft, but after listening to Chad Ford, I am a little more sold on CJ Mccollum. I sure would hate to chose Mccollum and watch Schroeder blow up with some other team, but that is the risk with the draft though. One thing about Mccollum, is that we could start him with Burks and Hayward, and they would all three be close to interchangeable parts in the starting lineup. Hayward and Mccollum would be better shooters than Burks, but they would be a very versatile backcourt.

so are you saying that Mccollum would be Curry and Schroeder would be Rondo? Dang, either of those would be nice. But Curry can shoot so well. I am going to go with Curry with bionic ankles.

or can we pick a Rondo/Curry love child? That would be awesome.

Schroeder's 3pt shot isn't broken though... it's certainly workable. I'd still take Schroeder at #14 rather than using up both #14 and #21 on McCollum.

Use #14 on Schroeder and #21 on Larkin and we're set for YEARS.

Schroeder = okay scorer, defender and passer
McCollum = okay defender, scorer and not so much passer

Schroeder>McCollum

I'm tired of the Jazz picking up scorers who's second decision is to pass.

If I could get Schroeder at 14 and Steven Adams at 21, then I would do it. Those two kids look like good pieces, and hard workers.

Omg that sounds so good. I want ittt.

Yeah! Schroeder is a great starting PG, solid defense, feed the bigs, makes plays, etc.

Larkin is a great pairing with Burks. Burks the slashing 6th man, getting to the FT line type SG, Larkin running the breaks, feeding guys, hitting 3's.

Sign Tinsley as our 3rd PG and to mentor them and we're set for YEARS and YEARS.

Interesting to me though how Schroeder hasn't said a word about Dallas? Collison is a restricted FA, but there is no indication that Dallas will bring him back. Who else have they got? Beaubois?

Schroeder wouldn't use Utah as a springboard to get to Dallas now, would he?
