2014 College Football

Everyone likes to talk about p5 schools in the current college football climate. The taysom hill led byu team played against 2 mid-lower level p5 schools. (texas, virgina)
Byu beat texas 41-7 and beat virgina 41-33

Now Utah on the other hand played against 4 mid-lower level p5 schools (Michigan, Washington state, Oregon state and Colorado).
They beat Michigan 26-10, lost to Washington state 28-27, beat Oregon state in double overtime, and beat Colorado 38-34.

Utah faired quite will against the mid-upper level p5 schools on their schedule (beat ucla by 2, beat usc by 3, lost to Arizona state, beat Stanford by 3)
Taysom hill led byu team didn't play against any of these types of schools so we don't know how byu would have done. I think they could have played close games against those type of teams and maybe won a few.

Utah was really bad against the elite p5 schools on their schedule. (lost to Arizona 42-10, and lost to Oregon 51-27)
Taysom hill led byu team didn't play any of these types of teams either but I think that they could have got their asses kicked by those teams as well.

I just don't see a huge difference between the utes and the 4-0 byu team that began the season. (byu was ranked higher than Utah after 4 games btw, not that the rankings mean all that much)

byu Heismans and champion title winner if Tysom not injuried because Utah lost to Washington St

This coming from a guy who thought BYU was better than Utah not even a quarter into the season. You have been just about as wrong as a person can get when it comes to your college football predictions in this thread. Why should we believe that you are right this time and we are going to be a 3 win team next season? Thriller, you blow things way out of proportion constantly when it comes to Utah football.

Yet, I was right about taysom being run too much, right about thompson being better than wilson, right about BYU needing more team speed, right about Nick Howell being promoted prematurely...

But yeah, that's okay. Whatever makes you sleep better.

Btw, with a healthy Taysom the entire season changes. Take away Booker and your entire season looks different too.

Face it utes, you're going to lose your best players this offseason and will need to replace coordinators on both sides of the ball... You'll be lucky to win 5 games next year. Enjoy your 15 mins of fame, cuz next year is gonna be a nightmare.

If "Ifs" and "Buts" were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry Christmas.... Your last few posts have been completely silly.

Christiansen gone in and of itself is a positive, the alarming thing is that this will be OC #7 in the last 7 years, I believe.

Nope! Stop being silly. 7? Ha! That was sooooooo last year. Wake up and smell the hot chocolate.

8th in 8 years.

That's gotta be a record.

And it means that the kids will have to learn a new system... Again.

I guess Erickson will be promoted? Or will whit hire someone else?

And what does this mean for the sidearm wonder? Everyone knows Dave preferred Thompson over Sidearm. Yet, Whit meddled and told him to stick with Sidearm and play it conservatively.

Is that why he's leaving for clearly a lesser position? Did he and his BFF Whit have a falling out? And what does this mean for players? Think Booker wants to stay and learn another offense? Does Wilson actually have a future at Utah? What does this mean?
