What's new

2014 College Football

Also, Mississippi State's next 3 games are @LSU, Texas A&M, and Auburn.

Those teams are ranked 8, 6, and 5 respectively.

After that stretch they go play Kentucky, who just took Florida to 3 OT's on the road.

Schedule is insane. Who does BYU play the next 4 weeks, lol/
Msu going to lose alot lol

Msu going to lose alot lol

Watching ESPN today and two of the dudes (out of 2 dudes) both picked MSU to win. We have been the most popular upset pick this week.

The only thing State has problems with is defending deep passes. I'm not at all scared of LSU's QB though.

We can stop their run. MSU might have the best front 7 in the nation when it comes to stopping the run and getting in the backfield. Pretty sure our DE Preston Smith has been named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week in all 3 weeks thus far.

If we can win the turnover game, we will win the game.

Should I say something agreeable or give credit to msu and say they have a good team? Or just try to bash them, discredit them and put them down like every non byu fan does with byu?

Dilemma

I will forever root for any team named bulldogs and root for a tie when MSU plays Georgia, unless MSU is wearing those BAWSE helmets with the bulldog decal on them.

State does has had the most bawse uniforms in the SEC as of late. The Gold they wore for the Ole Miss game last year was so dope.

Big weekend for Hill and Wilson. Wilson is the #2 passer in the country. Was it easy competition? Or is he realizing his potential when he was compared to Drew Bledsoe coming out of college?

Hill has looked better, but looking at his stats vs Texas and Houston, the improvement is minimal:

39/62, for a completion % of 62%, which is an improvement from last year, BUT those completions are to RB's and not WR's, so the improvement is minimal.

Also, Hill has thrown for 1 TD and 3 INT's vs those two teams. Very last year. On the bright side, you can add in the UConn game (and all the other horrible teams BYU will face) and his numbers jump to 4 TD's and 3 INT's. Still bad, just less bad.

Is Hill improving? Or is he just throwing to the RB's more?

Tomorrow will be a big step for both QB's.

p.s. Wilson is still better. ;)

No mention of rushing yards or td's huh?

Hill has over 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns doe

Looking at the boxscore for Michigan/Notre Dame.....they actually outgained Notre Dame and still lost 31-0. That's really strange. Just TOs killing them, I guess. I just thought they must really suck to lose like that when I saw that score a few weeks ago but taking a closer look now that makes them a little more intriguing. Maybe that #7 ranking in total defense for them right now is ballpark(20 spot cushion) to reality. You guys typically seem to play well against teams that like to pound it out on the ground.....but if your linebackers are iffy this year.....

Michigan's defense sucks. They gave up 6 yards per play before ND stopped trying. They gave up 8 yards per pass attempt and 13 yards per completion to ND. ND was up 21-0 before Michigan had a single TO. After ND was up 28-0, Michigan's defense tightened up and ND only averaged 1 yard per play.

Michigan's offense is sooooooo slow. So slow. Like sloth slow.

Hill is an incredible running back. Fantastic athlete.
Yep
When you critique/discuss a player you should look at the entire body of work.... the big picture...... if his team is winning or losing. Etc

Im way too defensive sometimes. This is one of those times.

Sorry about that

Lol. It's all in good fun. I'm taking jabs, but it's all in good fun.

I throw in little jabs, and hope I don't come off as a jerk. It's more in a winking, elbow poke to the ribs type of poking.

Bledsoe comparison? Based on Hair Styles and Hair Length?

I'm starting to get the feeling that my fellow Ute fans have officially become overconfident for this game. All this talk of how slow Michigan is on offense and how overrated their defense is, etc. Fact of the matter: Maybe Brady Hoke is in a tail spin but he's still 17-and-2 in The Big House. Couple that with Utah's less than stellar road performances and I wonder how anybody can feel like Utah's just gonna waltz in there and have an easy time.

Hmm, I'll be very very excited if we win this game. Not taking it for granted at all.

Funchisss and two of their DB's are back for the game.

I can't get over how slow Michigan is. They have zero pass rush and they don't create turnovers. Their offense is slow and plodding.

Utah should win. If Utah wants to go bowling or better, this is a must win game. If you can't win this game, I don't know how realistic a bowl game is.
