That won't happen. I'm still not sure a PAC team is top 8 worthy. Probably would be loaded with SEC teams, FSU, Baylor, OUPretty sure that we are in perfect agreement.

I think so too, but not this season.I think an 8 game playoff is inevitable. More eyeballs. More excitement. More markets. More $$$$$$$$$.

Too many games for the teams who win.
Damn, MSU is now ranked 3rd. Next week is going to be 3rd vs 2nd with the MSU vs. Auburn matchup. Crazy, whoever wins that could end up being ranked #1 if FSU loses.
MSU is the best team I've seen this year. Congrats.
Eh, Big12 plays a true round robin. Why do they need a title game?I want the Big 12 left out, which won't happen because I want them to see the writing on the wall and basically be forced to expand and add a title game for a couple of reasons:
- It doesn't seem like a level playing field to me when they're the only P5 conference that doesn't have the extra game. Some years it may hurt them, some years it might help them, but it will always be unbalanced.
- Expanding most likely means BYU gets an invite.
That last reason might seem strange coming from a BYU hater but not only do I think it improves football for fans across the state, it forces BYU and it fans to deal with reality.
BYU just lost an undefeated season and it's best player due to injury against a MWC school. I can't tell you how badly Utah's depth has been an issue since joining the PAC. More injuries and less depth than most of your conference foes makes for some pretty tough sledding.
Now BYU would slowly improve, like Utah is doing right now, but their fans have been mighty quick to laugh at Utah's struggles since joining the Pac. Let's see how they like losing their QB when Oklahoma, Baylor, and TCU still loom on the schedule.
Lol kiss of death.
If they want a chance to win it all they should win their conference also. Can't be the best team in the country if you are not the best team in your own conference.I hope it stays at 4. If teams want a chance to win it all, then they should be one of the best 4 teams during the season.

Yep.If the champion of the 2nd best conference doesn't make the playoff and a team like Florida State who does not play a single team as good as the lower half of the pac 12 does then there is a problem. Hell even Michigan state lost to a Pac12 team that has fared far worse in their few pac12 games so far. So how is winning a pathetic Big 10 better than winning the pac 12 even with 2-3 losses?
Even if fsu doesn't lose, the winner if that game could jump themDamn, MSU is now ranked 3rd. Next week is going to be 3rd vs 2nd with the MSU vs. Auburn matchup. Crazy, whoever wins that could end up being ranked #1 if FSU loses.
Word.8 is perfect IMO.
4 teams ain't a playoff
