2014 *Current Players* NBA Fantasy Draft

Fwiw when I vote coaching won't effect my vote at all probably.

If you have the best, most talented team with Corbin for the coach, you will still get my vote.

I hear ya. Corbin would've looked like a genius coaching the Dream Team. The difference here though is that many of our teams will be very close in talent and so coaching could put someone over the top for the W.

We can do coaches and ****, but when we vote, I will probably completely ignore it.

At least you'll only probably ignore it. Which means that you might not. Since I already sacrificed a top pick to move up to #1, I'm probably going to take a look at my team when I'm done and take a coach that fits my roster - giving it a style and identity that fits. I'm pretty sure I can find a coach that will fit my roster well. It just adds a little more shape to your team. I personally like the idea.

Whoever is in charge of this should just post final set of rules so that we can start. It really doesn't matter.

An auction is 100% fair but like spy said, hell no. Making the players and coaches intermixed is the next most fair. There's no reason NOT to do it this way.

The reason would be that the people at the end of the draft order get the most hosed unless they get an actual advantage going back.

Good point

Alright, I'm thinking we should just forget this coaching thing. I think it's complicating things too much.
I agree..... it could work and could be cool but I don't really like it

Ellis, go ahead and make the 1st pick when you're ready.

First overall pick. . .

LeBron "King" James

Appeared in 10 All-Star games.
Won 2 biggest'nes and 2 Finals MVP's.
4 MVP's.
2 All-Star MVP's
Made it to 8 All NBA first teams and 2 second teams alongside 6 NBA All Defensive teams.
Was ROY
and won 1 scoring title
2 Olympic golds 1 bronze
1 FIBA Americas gold 1 bronze

I think any basketball fan would judge his unwillingness to score the crap out of the opposition by his all-around game and willingness to make his team play, make the gears turn. He has the great body build up to play both ends of the floor. Unstoppable 1on1 offender. Really wide offensive gameset. Can get it done by himself pretty much anytime he wants or creates for others. Can score from outside on spot ups, off dribbles, jump straight, fade away any way you can think of. Defensively, he is not the guy you would want as your matchup because of the strength and agility parabol he has. He can become the uncrossable defender if he is pissed. Can defend anyone from PG's to even some centers sometimes on switches or defensive collapses. Can steal. Has quick hands. Don't use'em to block too much anymore but is capable if pushed.

Definite contender. His teams made playoffs all the time if you drop the first 2 years which is nice to me if you remember he spent 7 in Cleveland and those were his less grown up years. Especially mentally.

Good choice for team chemisty builder and orchestrator as a perfect pick for all-around point-forward player with great athleticism, power, motor, endurance, contending/competing attitude and BBIQ.

And let's be honest about it. . . with his decision to come back to Cleveland he's now the hope and savior of a whole city. LeBron is going to do more for Cleveland than any other professional athlete ever - if he can win his 3rd title as a Cav. Can't say that I'm going to bet against him at this point in time.
