What's new

2015-2016 NBA Thread

Last night kobe goes 1-14 and then afterwards gets asked about it and responds by saying, I could have scored 80 points and it wouldn't have mattered, I could average 35 points per game and we still wouldn't be winning games.
Also I heard on the radio yesterday that kobe said he only considers 4 teammates that he has ever played with to be friends.... Fish, pau, turiaf, and caron butler. Hasn't kobe played like 20 + seasons with hundreds of teammates? And he was only friends with 4 of them?

The lesson as always: kobe is a douche

Ish Smith with 17/9/8 for NO last night in 30 mins.. Probably woulda been a better option than Neto..right? 11ppg and 8apg in 29mpg so far. 17 PER. They picked him up off the scrap heap after a good showing with the 76ers last year.

Video of Jahlil Okafor punching a heckler outside of a bar last night. Floored em too, mighta been a slip. Questionable source but look at the video, it's him..

That dude's face felt all the frustration of going 0-16.

I know some people think Okafor is out of line, but I don't care that he did that if it's true about people heckling him. If you can't be respectful and you think you can do say whatever you want to a celebrity, then you deserved to get knocked out. There are just so many hating disrespectful people in the world. They all need a swift *** kicking.

Wouldn't it have been much more fun if Lakers took Okafor at #2 and the Sixers took D'Angelo Russell at #3?

The Lakers would have won a few more games by now with Okafor in the middle and Russell would have been given the ball and run with it in that fast pace Sixers offense.

Win-win.

Both teams would have sucked still and both should have drafted Porz.

How awesome would it be if a new record was set for best start (GS) AND worst start (76ers) in the same season lol

Whats up with Nerlens Noel? Is this dude really that much better than Alex Len, who's per 36#'s are steadily improving?

Certainly wouldn't take him over Rudy.

I know Noel's defensive and rebounding capabilities are top notch. 40% from the field on 11 attempts per is unacceptable for a big though, that's not conducive to winning basketball... I've seen some of his post up moves recently too, their still rudimentary at best.

It took 50 points from Harden for Houston to beat Philly at home lol

He's been terrible this year. He isn't accumulating the defensive stats like he was before. Nothing seems to be going for him right now.

I'm sure the Jahlil Okafor addition had an impact too.

I like Ish. I would definitely take him on our team. He's actually pretty good. I've never noticed til this year. He's either a late bloomer or never got much of a chance.

It's mostly Okafor IMO. They can't coexist and both play to their max potential.

https://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/...-gun-pointed-previous-altercation-report-says

Supposedly somebody pointed a gun at his head. Crazy ****.

I watched the video and didn't see anything remotely like that.

Anyone else?
I think the stories are getting crossed. If you read the article the gun was pointed at him in an October altercation in Philly. Sounds like there were several witnesses to that, including a cop. In the Boston incident nobody is saying anything about a gun, and Okafor is actually handling the aftermath pretty well. He's admitting that he made a mistake, and he says he has learned from it. I'm pretty impressed by that part of it.
