Some trade buzz: BOS intends to move David Lee by Feb. 18 deadline, or buy him out. Lee is out of rotation and wants a role somewhere.

The Bucks have let other teams know that Greg Monroe is available for the right price, and the team is also receptive to trading Michael Carter-Williams, reports Gery Woelfel of The Journal Times. Giannis Antetokounmpo is the only Bucks player completely off-limits for a deal, though it would take a “crazy” offer to pry Jabari Parker or Khris Middleton from Milwaukee, a league executive said to Woelfel. Several people around the league have said they’d be surprised if the Bucks don’t make a significant trade, with the deadline looming two weeks from today, Woelfel adds.

You think they're gonna draft Jabari 2nd, watch his rookie season get shortened by injury, then trade him for the 5th pick in that draft the next season, who just so happens to be out for the season??

Their fans would call for the GM's head if it worked out any less than perfectly.. It's an absurd amount of risk..

Main reason I posted the article was to toot my own horn on the Antetokounmpo being untradable part. I've been saying he'd steal Jabari's spotlight since before the pick was in... On another site I post on, people really thought I was an idiot for saying that -- 1½ years later it looks damn good.

I think so. I've really liked both players since before they were NBA players. Would be an interesting move for Brooklyn especially -- I like it for them, they've gotta shuffle the roster and roll the dice a bit with no lottery pick this offseason.. If it backfires they'll be sitting pretty for that #1 pick in 2017.. If it works they'll still have a high pick in 2017, and they'll have a PG and a C.
 
Interesting commentary on Harrison Barnes' relationship with some of his GSW teammates from Ethan Strauss in this podcast.. Seems as if he's gonna go for the $$ this offseason..

Here's a detailed article on the Barnes situation and his continued development (and lack thereof in some departments, like the pick and roll).

I'm not sure what to make of him. It'll be a risky move for whatever team offers him the max. I'm intrigued to an extent, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pull the trigger if I'm the Jazz. I'm sure he's capable of doing more than what he's able to show in GS, but idk if it's worthy of max money. You're essentially banking on him having a Jimmy Butler ish break out.
