2015 NBA Playoffs

Not giving you the response you wanted does not equate dodging the issue.

My stance is the same it has always been. One you conveniently ignore.

If any team, including the Broncos, get caught cheating they should be punished.

But then you knew that, as I had said it at least twice, and are simply playing games.

None of what you've said justly acknowledges the FACT that cheating is endemic to the NFL. At bottom, the NFL doesn't even really have any interest in a cheating-free league; rather, they have an interest in the IMAGE of a cheating-free league. Do the necessary research and you won't be able to avoid agreeing with this.

When I taught at the university my most popular class was on drugs. My students had to complete a quarter-length research project, and many chose topics on performance-enhancing drugs. Many of those students chose to focus on the NFL. Over time, I read most of the papers they cited. The case is closed: the NFL is jammed full of drugs. And there are negotiations between the league and the NFLPA that deal directly with how to keep them out of sight but still pumping through veins.

Anywhoo, this is just one example. If your heart wants a game with integrity, then you need to turn off football. Over the years, the Patriots have been subject to more scrutiny than anybody... probably more than half the league combined. Spygate was something everybody was doing (like drugs), and a former assistant coach ratted them out (where is he now by the way?? He stepped on the snake... got spit out into ESPN... and where is he now? He can't get a job in the league anymore precisely because the other cheaters know they can't trust him). Deflategate is another sideshow... just ask Aaron Rodgers.

And none of that changes the FACT that the Pats cheated, got caught and got punished. Rightfully so.

If it makes you feel better you can change Pats with Broncos and I'd still 100% agree.

I think I know what our problems are. Our communication problems. I'm making a ton of assumptions about the interesting things you might be saying... at times when you aren't saying very interesting things. We all say unimportant things from time to time, so it's all good. But, yeah, if that's your position, then Cool, brough.

Cleveland can't rely on Smith like that all the time. It has to be Irving.

that's the problem, irving is playing through injury and right now he's more of a liability especially on defence, that's why dellavedova played a lot of the 4th

basically blatt is winning right now with not so great lebron, a bunch of average guys and no bench

Then you should probably get clarification instead of making wild assumptions and end up looking foolish because you are wrong. Seems to happen quite a lot. But if you like lookign foolish with your uninfomred assumptions, in an atempt to look informed, than more power to you.

I can be condescending to.

Back on topic.

It will be interesting to see the adjustments that the Warriors and Rockets make with Howard being out this next game.

Hope Carroll comes back soon and helps them beat the Cavs.

Really want a Warriors/Hawks finals

not trying to condescend.

So, let me get this straight, you aren't willing to recognize the Patriots dominance anymore without an asterisk, right?
And your position on deflategate is: they cheated and they should be punished.... no nuance needed. Right?

Just want to be clear.

Deflate gate, they cheated and got punished case closed. But I think I see where this might be going. If the NFL has info on other teams doing this then they should go after and punish those teams as well. Ragardless of who that team is. As for level of punishment well that depends on the cheating specifics case by case.

A secondary option, but one I don't favor, would be the NFL admitting this is a common occurance and then remove the Pats penalties in fairness. I'd rather them punish the cheaters then change the rule if need be.

As for the *. I think that in the minds of many fans it will put an * there as it did get caught, punished and has been all over the media. This is different than those that people suspect cheated but were never caught. As for me it makes me wonder "what else have the Pats been doing?". But I don't care enough to argue for an *. I just accept that many can arguably make that case. I mainly said it because you and Fabtrey were acting foolish imo. (this is where you cry "trolling!" because I posted something in a manner that wasn't 100% serious)

Personally I think Brady was highly foolish in doing this as he is an all time great (possibly THE all time great) QB and didn't need this edge. He is good enough to win without it.

On a side note, if you are honestly not trying to be condescending then you really need to take a long hard look at how you come across to people. At how you communicate because it is highly condescending. Not meant to antagonize or offend. Just simple honest opinion. I find it funny personally but I am an odd guy.

Edit: let's move this to the appropriate thread if you wish. Don't have much more to say honestly

I'm not going to take a "hard look" at my communication style around here. Well, let's put it this way: I'll take as long and as hard a look as you (and a few others) take looking at your own sensitivities, authenticities, moral codes, and boredom. In other words, if you (and a few others) try to be 10% as interesting as babe, then I think you'll find me pretty agreeable.

You feeling charged??

I'm not as long winded as Babe and our interests mostly lie in seperate fields (from what I have seen on here). That could be one reason you don't find me interesting. But I do answer sincere questions honestly and directly.

Sad you wont take time to find things out before you assume. Oh well. I sincerely tried.

Enjoy your Pats.

babe isn't interesting because of the length of his posts or his "field".

We all make assumptions. All of the time. Rivers of assumptions. It isn't so bad to assume people are interesting until they prove otherwise. That sounds kind of optimistic, actually. And you have said interesting things, which is why I go back to that well.

I CERTAINLY WILL!! Isn't Manning gonna give it one more go-around? I hope they have enough juice in his veins to keep him on his feet.

Yup Manning is on board this year. I think he retires after this year. I look forward to another lat January Brady/Manning meeting.

Brady has to come to Denver this year on 11/29.

Is it just me or does he remind anyone of Jackie Chiles ... the lawyer from Seinfeld

David Aldridge use to have a bigger role with ESPN NBA basketball, but they took him off and gave him a lesser role. I suspect Aldridge was anti-hip hop and since ESPN was pushing hip hop basketball to the hilt, they cut him down at the knees! By the way, I'm sure Aldridge is tattoo-less!

This game was not decided by the refs, that's for sure. But it would be nice if the playing field was more level! If the refs are going to call ticky tack fouls or violations on some of the screens and picks the Hawks are setting to get Korver open, which they did 3 times last night, then how can they look away when Lebron palms the ball flagrantly while posting his man low? He backs his man down in the low post...picks up his dribble....backs him down some more....picks up his dribble...and then lays the ball in the basket? How can you defend that when you never know when the guy has picked up his dribble? J.R.Puke shot lights out...I doubt he does that again in this series! Even with Carrolls injury, I still see the Hawks coming back in this series!
