Twolves are playing better lately. Even though the crashed against us, they were coming off B2B.

They beat the Rockets soon after. Hopefully they can win again tonight.

I don't think the Jazz can catch the Rockets for the #3 spot, but the Grizzlies and Clippers are certainly in reach for #5 and #4. So I think we have to root for the Rockets to beat the Grizzlies.

I believe that we can reach the Rockets but I won't argue about the Grizzlies losing.

i think it's possible to catch rockets. I believe Eric Gordon is injured. it will be tough tho

We are healthy now though and entering an easy part of the schedule..... about to go on a nice run. And all it would take is one harden sprained ankle to trip the Rockets up.

Shoot for the stars. Get that 3 seed. Go grizz.

(Mine is the homer take. Yours is much more realistic. And I fully support rooting for the Rockets since it makes more since )
 
I'm really excited for that Pacers game. I want the Jazz to destroy the Pacers. Destroy them.
 
Rockets are not as good as their record. Id love to face them in the playoffs. A 4/5 matchup against them would be fun.

I feel like we match up better against Houston than the Clippers.

Jazz move a full game ahead of the Grizzlies for the 5th seed and only two games back from the Clippers for the 4th seed.

Also we are a full 8 games ahead of the 8th seed Trail Blazers.

For some reason 5 games out of 3rd doesn't seem as insurmountable as it did a few weeks ago. Kool-Aid maybe? :D

The Rockets record is a bit of an illusion. They will be exposed in the 2nd half.

I like our chances for 3/4 seed if we stay healthy.

No they wont.

They are 11-9 against above .500 teams. By comparison we are 6-11. So not only have they played more good teams than us, they have won a higher % of those games. They've also played a league leading 22 road games so far. I think they are pretty much locked into the 3rd seed unless Harden gets injured.
 
i think the question with Harden -and Westbrook - is can they sustain their same pace over the 2nd half of the season or do they wear down? I'd say it's unlikely Utah can catch Houston unless the Rockets have injuries. I'd be very happy with the 4th seed.
 
Frankly, aside from unforeseen injuries to star players, I don't see much hope for catching either Rockets or Clippers. Griffin should return soon to Clips and they're already on a winning streak with Paul leading the way. Could the unforeseen happen? Sure, but I think we'll have enough fight on our hands just trying to hold off the Grizzlies and Thunder.
 
If Houston is the 3 seed then I want to be the 6 seed. We beat them and avoid the Warriors in the second round.
