2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

He had an amazing 1st round and is having a meh 2nd round. The narrative on him completely changes if he doesnt hit that prayer shot. Wizard will most likely get blown out in Game 7.

Well I guess they didnt get blown out, but it was a pretty decisive win for teh Celtics. Wall sucks played like he did in game 6, minus hitting a lucky *** shot.

Geez I hate the Nets. They're like that idiot in your fantasy league who trades Lebron James for their own personal favorite player, thereby sending him to a team that already has Westbrook and Durant, therefore screwing your whole league.

Gotta give Danny Ainge a ton of credit here for not hanging on to those players out of sentimentality, like most teams do. Dirk has just been rotting away in Dallas instead of moving him on which would've benefitted both sides. Utah could've made a similar home run move with Jefferson and Millsap if they had had the cojones instead of playing for an 8th seed with a vastly inferior team.

Hayward to Celtics is real. They will also have a top 3 pick.

Sucks, but I'm hoping GH will surprise me.

It's funny because there was just a report out saying agents were steering their guys away from the king's and Celtics. Kind of a weird situation in Boston where all the top talent is PG and that happens to be where their best player plays.

Anyway, if you take a closer look a boston's situation, it ain't really all that rosy. A lot of Cs fans want to sell high on IT, so that really tells you a lot about how solid their current roster is. They are going to have several guys coming up on contracts that will likely be overpays on role players.

We shall see, but there is a lot of uncertainty there in where that roster is headed, and Ainge hasn't been able to pull off the big move that he's been looking for, so it seems presumptuous to assume they can just flip a switch and pull off the big move whenever they want.

If the Celtics get Hayward in FA I dont see them re-signing IT long-term. He will want a 5 year max and I dont think they give that to him.

Why not? IT is one of the hottest PGs in the League right now. I'd give him the MAX.

Because they don't want to draft a top 1-3 pick to play backup minutes. They could balance that roster a lot better if they drafted Fultz and traded IT for help in their front court.

i know leonard is out but 30-40 point game in wcf? super team sucks

Injuries suck more. This was looking like a fun series until Leonard went down. Part of why it's fun is because it's a super team and the chance they could lose. Super teams are great for the NBA even though they suck for the hardcore fan bases of other teams.
