2016 NBA Playoff Thread

So reading the article apparently the team wanted to have a players only dinner to create some comraderie and Tristan Thompson made some comments about "the last supper." Not once in the article is the word "jesus" mentioned. Lebron is never compared to jesus or said to play the role of jesus.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Thursday the Cleveland Cavaliers had a team dinner and it was where the theme of their upcoming postseason adventure was created:

"We're all in this together and we need to take care of business now."

During that player-only chow down, Tristan Thompson said that was LeBron James' message to the team. The emphasis was on not looking ahead, but staying in the moment.

Their rebounding specialist is calling that dinner "The Last Supper."

"If you look back at Greek mythology and even back before World War 1, every time a team would go out to battle, they'd eat first," Thompson told cleveland.com. "I think that's what it symbolizes before going out to battle. Having that last supper before it's time to go to war."

Buy ya, what a jackass lebron is for trying to play the role of jesus.

Tristan Thompson the Historian. Holy Jesus, these dudes need to learn when not to speak.

Well, my clowns, the Atlanta Hawks, almost coughed up a 19 point lead last night against the Celtics! They hung on for a 1 point lead, despite shooting 5-27 from 3 point land! A sorry state of affairs in professional basketball, when a team can shoot 5-27 from 3 point land and STILL win the game, don't cha think?

Well the Celtics started out god awful from 3.. that helps.. also Jeff Teague saved the Hawks in that game, they lose by 5-10without him in that 4th Q

Gotta love fouling bigs to shoot ft's to close out the first q..

Vonleh having a rough time so far but he stays active. Harkless with a few really nice plays..

I think the Clippers take this in 5..

Interested to see what Austin Rivers is going to do in these playoffs tbh

Kenny Smith just said and I quote "Damian Lillard is the 2pac of the game right now, 'All eyez on me'...

Now I'm watching the halftime show on mute.

The first round is going to be pretty lackluster; there have been so many blowouts and I'm sure there will be more--especially in the West.

This is how I thought teh Blazers would look all year. They really need Aminu to step up and hit some of these wide open looks. They also need Lillard to stop being soft on defense.

I am really looking forward to Clippers/Warriors and Spurs/Thunder. I wish we could fast forward to the 2nd round.

I suspect some of these series will go 6, maybe 7 games. But the whole NBA is "lackluster" and virtually unwatchable! Heck, the Hawks were 5-27 from 3 point land...and still won the game! Doubt Curry's sprained ankle will keep them from sweeping, though! Spurs should also sweep.
