What's new

2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker came up HUGE against BOS in TOR's victory tonight in their first game for TOR since the trade.

There's a sense that BOS didn't do enough at the trade deadline to at least bolster their bench to compete with the West's elites. Did they drop a ball focussing too much on getting George and Butler, but forgetting that they're still in with a chance this year provided they can bulk up their roster with quality players?
It was a bummer. I really hope it blows up in their face.

whats flying over heads is that it's a sound move, they locked in long term assets for an asset that why couldn't afford to let expire in ~110games..

Sacramento was the 1951 champs which hurts their chances at being selected. also it sucks for them they owe a 1st in 2019 or 2020 unprotected. really puts the onus on them to 'go for it' the 2018-2019 season..

Usually teams emulate championship teams, not the Jazz.. What'll be funny is if I root for a team like the Kings and they try to poach lets say Derrick Favors and Dante Exum in the summer of 2018.. There's lots of interesting players to be signed these next 2 summers, combined with the right draft picks and player development any young team can come up -- that's how the league is set up..

Such a fantastic troll. The plan is to 'poach' Jazz players.

Either throw down the troll card or finally acknowledge that you love the way the Jazz taste inside your mouth.

Pelicans struggling against Mavs.

I'm sure they'll figure it out. But what would happen if they miss the playoffs? Would Boggie still re-sign with the Pels or would he bolt for another team?

Nerlens Noel the difference maker tonight in DAL's win. What a pick up by DAL. They've managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat yet again.

Spectacular 22pts from Brandon Ingram vs the Spurs. Check out the damage he does off the dribble.

Pretty clear Davis and Cousins are an elite combo and Jrue is pretty good, but god damn everyone else on that team stinks.

Yeah, Brow/Boogie will easily average 50 PPG, but idk where the other 50 points are going to come from. It's not going to happen for them this year. But as long as Cousins stays, they can compete long term; NOLA just has to put a few decent pieces around them.
