My board ended up ****ed up but there was players I had high that should've went high...

Who helps Kemba score? Batum isn't an ideal 2nd option, not terribly efficient and a bunch of meh bigs.
Never underestimate UK players.
And w/ hindsight, MKG over Beal was a terrible draft for them.
*cough*cough* I think I had him in my top 5 or top 3? Don't remember exactly. Sometimes NBA GMs are just straight up stupid. It was so obvious this kid was one of the most talented players in this draft. I have no idea how a professional talent evaluator can miss on that.

I think I doubted him, but I was surprised at how far he fell.
I think the Kings got a nice future if they can hit in this draft (honestly I have more faith in them than the Pelicans, which is crazy considering they have 2 All-NBA players). They got a good coach and some good young players. I really think Cousins was the main reason they couldn't improve. I think WCS/Skal/Hield are 3 solid starters at C/PF/SG respectively. If they could add one of Fultz/Jackson/Tatum/Ball/Smith/Nkitilna/Isaac/Fox/Monk then that would be a win.
I just remembered they have the Pelicans top 3 protected pick this year too. So best they can do is #2 overall pick (Sixers have right to swap this pick, so if it went 1, then the Sixers would 100% swap it) and 4. They could end up with Ball and Jackson, or some other crazy combination.
That's not very likely, IMO. But they will get good players in this draft either way - right now their picks are slotted at no. 6 and no. 8. I like this year's top 10 a lot. I even like some players way past the top 10. They can get Dennis Smith Jr and Jonathan Isaac... or Monk... Suddenly this team has turned into a fun team to watch with some potential for the future. I just hope their owner doesn't screw things up for them.
Worst case scenario is they draft someone like Justin Jackson a bit too high because he has an insane tournament or something.

Jackson has been a pretty great 3pt shooter this year though, especially considering volume. I don't think it would be a terrible pick, it's a pretty decent worst case scenario. The Kings fails have been from taking college darlings who dont measure out great in size or athletic ability and Jackson has good length and athletic ability. He'd be a good fit next to Hield as he is a better playmaker and defender than Hield.
