2017 Annual JazzFanz Current Players NBA Draft

I think Andre Roberson did the best job of man defense on Hayward last year than any other player.

I think Hayward struggled against any of the lockdown defenders. Roberson always had his number, was kind of frustrating that he could never dominate him. Oh well, Bostons problem now.

Then what are you saying?

Because I see you saying that Jordan willl do worse without Paul. Which is possible. But in this competition, he's playing with Harden...so which one matters more? I'd like a definitive answer, as you are the commish.

White Chocolate, would be nice to get an answer as to whether our team construct matters. Thanks!

We are projecting how the players do next season. We are also building teams that would work well together.

Now, just because one player is paired with a better player than he will have on his actual team doesn't mean he won't regress next season.

Does that make sense?

So for example, if Jordan's stats go down playing next to Beverly/Teo, should we go by that, or try to assume what he would do if playing with Harden? Just a hypothetical.

If you draft DeAndre Jordan you're getting the DeAndre Jordan that is playing next year with Beverley/Teodosic.

Now, that DeAndre Jordan is playing with James Harden in this competition.

So then by that logic, we shouldn't imagine what Andre Drummond would do with a better supporting cast/PG around him?

But isn't he the same player that played with Chris Paul? And Harden creates at a similar level to Paul, so why wouldn't we expect him to play at a similar level as to what he did with Paul?

I feel like with this logic, team construct doesn't matter.

Drummond next year playing with a better supporting cast/PG.

Jordan is playing with worse players next year so you're getting a worse Jordan than you normally would but he's playing with Harden.
