2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I have a hard time seeing Atlanta agree to that. Collins' value can't be that low, can it?
You saw the interest in Beal right. The rumor last week was Bertans and 10 for 15 and JC but Mavs prefer Capela and Atlanta prefers to keep Capela. They would be doing a waive and stretch with Bertans so his 17M this year would turn to a cap hit of 5m a year for 5 years. KO gets them a cleaner future cap, a replacement player, and they duck the tax for another year. To move back 13 spots. I think its very fair.

I'm assuming you mean trade back if Ausar is there at #9? I do think there's a consensus top 9....and while I'm a huge Bilal fan I understand if you just take Walker/Hendricks if they are there.
I guess it depends more on their evaluation of those guys than mine. If its Walker Hendricks I'm more likely just to make the pick. Ausar I like enough to just make that pick. If they are factoring Bilal in there as the 10th member of the top 9 then move back maybe.

that's me with NSJ - i feel like he's freaking long (wasn't measured) like 6'5" in shoes and 6'11-7' span and while his shots didn't fall at Ark, he was behind the 8 ball due to injury and is one of the best guys in the entire draft and getting his shot. i see both him and keyonte george as guys who we didn't the real play due to injuries.
NSJ reportedly has a 6'9 wingspan. He's more or less the exact same size as Jordan Clarkson.

Pretty much. If we want Whitmore we need to trade up to 5. If we want Black or Jarace we need to trade up to 7. If we don’t trade up we likely end up taking whoever falls out of Hendricks and Ausar.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Ainge wants to be aggressive and try to move up to 5th using the picks he has this year. Detroit Pistons seem to be in a team-building phase where they want to evaluate and develop many prospects (slow build), unlike the Jazz (or Portland for example if they keep Lillard) who want to compete and become contenders. As for Cam Whitmore, I don’t want him ‘cause I don’t like chuckers.

I don’t really see how Cam is a chucker. 57.1 TS% and highest points per possession on drives.

Jazz should also get 10 from Dallas. Jazz could trade 16 and Olynyk for 10 and Bertans. Dallas can still get Lively at 16, which they like a lot. Us having 9 and 10 would really help us get 2 top 10 quality players.

I love the idea but I don’t think Dallas is sure Lively is there at 16 though.

I've followed him quite a bit, and he makes selfish plays too often, totally ignoring his teammates. Hasn't shown to play team basketball. Could he change that down the road, I'm not sure.

Not so fast. I think Lively floor is now the Hawks at 15 even if they are not keeping him. Besides Dallas is only picking him imo if they pick for another team drafting later that can send win now vets. Example Dallas comes up with a meh package of Bertanss or THJ and 10th overall for a s/t Cam Johnson and 22 overall from the Nets.

He is a expected to be a legit first option, he is not there to make plays. Everything gets dumped into the funnel and he is the tank
