2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Of course I don't know any real details about his health, but if Cam falls to #9 it's likely because of health. You guys can make jokes about the language used or whatever....but you know it's real if he falls. I get that you may love Cam as prospect (player) but if he has health issues he has health issues. If they are not real and just fake, we won't be in a position to draft him anyways.

I will take Cam with one leg vs Bilal.

Yeah but Greg Oden, Zion, Brandon Roy, Derrick Rose..
Derrick rose won an nba MVP and dont recall there being injury issues coming out of memphis. Brandon roy was a stud. were there injury issues with him pre draft? Idk. Zion was the number 1 pick and an all star and I dont remember him having injury issues in college (i could be wrong but he was awesome at duke from what I remember) Greg oden was the #1 pick in the draft so I doubt he had injury concerns coming out of college.

Maybe you missed it but I was speaking of dudes who fell in the draft due to injury concerns (like we are discussing with Cam). Oden was the #1 pick and so was zion so they didn't fall due to injury concerns. Zion has been an all star and rose was a league mvp. If Cam becomes an nba all or star or nba mvp then we did a good job by drafting him imo.

Yeah, that's what we read from the media. A player had a bad pre-draft workout, shots didn’t go in, didn’t look energetic that day, looked sort of sleepy, and then a team won’t select him to be their player potentially for several years because of it. How dumb folks think the GMs are?
When you hear he had multiple bad workouts you may pause if you are going to give a player a multi-year contract, especially in a year with so much talent.

Here is what the Pistons beat writer for The Athletic threw out as a potential trade:

The Pistons send No. 5 and Marvin Bagley III to the Jazz for No. 9 and a 2025 first-round pick. In this scenario, the Pistons select whoever is left of the Thompson twins, Whitmore, Walker Hendricks or Black.

If that’s all the cost is sign me the **** up.

I could see Hendricks being available at 9 and trading down to 12 with OKC for Bufkin.
I wouldn't hate it. We would pick up something from okc for doing this correct?

Ya, not bad. Is Bagley any good? What kind of role would he get on the jazz?

Probably our 2024 1st back.
I would do then for sure. I like hendricks a lot and prefer him over bufkin but bufkin and a 1st is greater than hendricks for me.
