2023 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread

Throwing the bag at Reaves is a full no-brainer for me. Get him or don’t, but you screw the Lakers either way.

But just to be sure we’re all on the same page: the Jazz would pay $24.5 million per year for four years; the Lakers would pay just above the MLE (~$12 mil) for two years but basically the max for the last two years (~$38 million because they have to make up what they didn’t pay in the first two years). Also: the Lakers cannot offer a contract of that size, they can only match a larger offer from a cap space team.
But I honestly want him here crazy bad and would weigh/explore some kind of sign and trade scenario.

Some. Bulls won their season series with the Heat. If the Bulls win on Friday, Miami will be pushed into the lottery with a better regular-season record than the Twolves. So if the Heat and Twolves both lose on Friday, the Heat will have the 14th pick and the Jazz would get the 13th pick.
Another must watch games them. Can hardly wait.

I feel the Thunder will win this game, knock off Minny in another heartbreaker, and then look frisky in a 6 game loss to the nuggets where SGA wins them a couple games.

They will go into the off-season at the absolute peak of expectations and then slightly disappoint next season. Just like the Pels this year.

I'm seeing a lot of Bucks picks online. I'll just ask how is Middleton going to hold up. 1st round should be no problem but assuming Cavs take care of the knicks that would be a interesting series. Cavs look a bit like the jazz of old who gave the Bucks problems.

Who needs Middleton when you have Jingles?
