Vs

Team R:

So KD knocking around down low with BILL RUSSELL is the ace in the hole strategy for them?

I don’t see it

Russell was 6-10 215 and not a great low post player. He’s not a banger or anything. I doubt team W wants to do much Bill Russell post ups when he has Duncan who is 100 times better at it.

I'm not talking about posting him up though, just banging around down low in general, which is obviously not where you want KD to be. He'd have zero rebounds for the game and be ****ing miserable in general.

KD doesn’t play down there and why would Russell play down low when Duncan is? And better at it. You don’t want both playing down there.

Honestly I would’ve drafted Duncan to play center in this. Do people realize he played more center than powerful in the NBA during his entire career?

Duncan/Russell vs KD/Wallace

Seems like a pretty simple calculation. Which pairing would you prefer?
Tim Duncan has more championships than KD & Wallace combined.

And both Duncan and Russell were clearly the best players on their championship winning teams,

This means nothing to me Bill Russell played in an era with only 18 teams and his team was completely stacked with the top talent in the NBA at that time just because one player has more championships doesn’t mean he’s the better player

So you love the era argument when you saw them play and can hype up Bird, but that goes out the window when the player played before your time?

Modern or past time who puts KD above Bill Russell as an all time player? No one who is serious. Not to mention Ben ****ing Wallace
