2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

A lot of nice stuff here despite Framer framing this as some ho-hum showing .

I mean it is a highlight reel. I watched the game live. He doesn't have the juice to get by someone if he becomes a defensive target. If you are going to make it as 6'3" one and done, that needs to be part of the package, even as a freshman.

If he wants to just be a very good college player, he can probably get there.

But yeah, why don't you get back to us after you get some talking points from the podcasts you listen to.

This draft isnt strong, the back end of the first round will be teams taking what's leftover from the ready now upperclassmen, severely disappointing freshman (think Justin Edwards), and pre-drafting long shots who decided to come out because the weak class gives them a shot to earn a guaranteed deal.

With what Bronny James has shown I would find it perfectly reasonable if a team wanted to pre-draft him at the back end of the first round.
Look who has all of the sudden decided to join the "Let's give a kid a chance before we damn him!" Brigade. You literally are famous for doing the opposite. It is your defining trait.

Who do I not give a chance to exactly?

You are such a ridiculous poster.

Go back to hating on a 19 year old who nearly died from a medical situation just because you dont like that he gets more hype than you think he should.

Yes, you usually want your one and done players to have more high end talent, but there's plenty of examples of guys coming out earlier than they should, getting pre-drafted, and succeeding. There isnt one path to NBA success of coming out exactly when you're ready.

The funniest **** is I know Framer's beef with me is that I'm not as high on Kessler as others (but to frame that as me not giving him a chance is beyond ridiculous), but guess what you clowns....

The Jazz have greatly improved with Walker coming off the bench (as has Walker) like I've been saying was his best role. I know no one wants to bring that up, because admitting Cy was right about something is taboo vs making a thread about every wrong thing.

Peyton Watson and the kid with bad acne from Milwaukee went at the end of the first round despite having terrible terrible awful Freshman years.

So spare me this "Bronny not a prospect" BS.

Top is Dalton Knecht, bottom is Jalen Williams.

Jalen was 2 years younger (they are actually born 5 days apart).

Dalton probably doesnt have the wild 7'2 wingspan Jalen has, but his arms are quite long, at least a +3 measurement I would guess.

Zach Edey is averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 29 minutes per game for #2 ranked purdue

His last two games:
33 points and 14 rebounds and a block.
30 points and 20 rebounds and 3 blocks

Dalton Knecht drops 25 in a off shooting night lmao. Destroys a solid Bama team by 20.

Furphy continuing to be great as a starter. Going to be one of those guys who wasnt on one and done radars who might just come out because of how weak the draft is.

If you could trade Kessler for him straight up would you do it?

Yet GM's see him and think, "That's a 2nd round pick". Or maybe even undrafted. That's how it goes. And I can't say they're necessarily wrong. Guys like Edey are just so unbelievably dominant physically in the bad college game, against 6'8 "centers".

They can't guard anyone in the league. Edey too will look excruciatingly slow against NBA bigs.

Edey's issue (other than the obvious foot speed) is he isnt a passer. If you can be an offensive hub teams feel better about featuring a dominant center and designing a defense that makes them playable.
