A brush with destiny -- Celtics at Jazz 3/28/2018 7:30 pm MST

I’ve determined this game thread was one year premature. I will dig this out and provide updates when we actually take on Hayward. It will sting a lot more for him when the Celtics, sans him, can beat us at home, but he can’t beat us anywhere. That is, if he survives the first five minutes with Crowder on the floor.

To my eye it's becoming apparent that the organization understands that this ins't the year we go all the way. The are letting one of our two obvious future stars learn on the fly and grow into the player he will become when we are poised to make a run. I would really love to see a playoff appearance for the opportunity to grow in that aspect but at this point the Jazz have met (or exceeded) my expectations for this year. I was really hoping to go .500 and that is now assured. Anything else is gravy.

To be back in the playoffs and experiencing that level of intensity can only motivate our young core. Donovan more than the rest, because so much rests on his shoulders. But all of the young guys will benefit from the playoff experience. I think we are seeing the effects of what Donovan 's rookie wall looks like. We are going to be fine. The clips and nugs are not going to catch us. Their schedules are brutal down the stretch. We don't have a cake walk by any means, but we should be able to stay ahead of the comps and stay in the hunt. X came back this year much more confident. In part due to his play in the warrior series. Royce, X, and Donovan will all benefit from going to the POs.

I just realized I forgot a game girl for the Celts game. That loss is on me.

Once the thread is made for tonight, I post a phenomenal gtg.
