AK is sooooooo yesterday ... and this team is about the future. Our "young" team is approaching the half-way point of their rookie contracts and we still haven't figured out what we got. If we sign AK to even a two-year contract, we will have screwed our chances with Kanter and Burks.
Rookies get four-year deals. If we sign kirilenko to three years, he comes off the books just as Burks and Kanter are eligible get their first big deals.
I find it amusing that so many people think Marvin Williams is better than Kirilenko. I'd bet you'd see just the opposite opinion on most atlanta boards. Disappointment plays heavily into our evaluations.
