Al Jefferson to Utah? ...Mark Stein's Twitter reports

I'm just concerned about his health. He had major surgery last year.
If he comes back strong from that we just stole him from Minny.

I'd rather watch AL and Sap together over Boozer and Memo.

Dude played 76 games last year and is proven to be more durable (and less of a puss) then Boozer. I'm sporting a major boner right now over this deal (assuming just picks and the TPE).

Anyone else nervous that we haven't heard anything yet? I'm pretty sure Toronto has stepped in with an offer.

al jefferson blows, he's like boozer except minus the offensive prowess

His offensive game isnt as diverse as Boozer's, but he is better back to the basket low post player. Boozer has ups on him in terms of midrange, but hopefully Milsap has stepped his game in that department another notch to compensate.

IAWTP.
And yes, I think Jefferson and Millsap WILL complement each other. Millsap showed a very good 12-15 ft jumper last season. Jefferson can be the primary P&R guy. Millsap can be the kick-out guy or can crash the boards. I'm excited to see this happen!

And if you look at the list of PG's Jefferson has played with, it's almost as bad as the days of McLeod and Palacio. That 45% assisted basket stat is intriguing. Let's see what Big Al does with the best PG in the business. I think he's EASILY back to 20/10...maybe even closer to 25 pts.

i know, i am just playing with ya... i've actually been watching this forum and reading posts for a long long time, just never had an account. i know some of the users tendencies.

as for the possibility of the acquisition of jefferson, i am excited. i believe he has everything we have been looking for in a guy. length, physical presence, potential, and a good post game.

I dont see him getting 25, probably closer to 20, maybe 22. We still have Sap who will get his 15-18 ppg, then we Memo comes in thats another 15 ppg bigman. Dwill will get his 18-20 ppg, CJ and AK will get 11-14 ppg.

If I understand the logistics right (assuming Brewer gets resigned/signed), Utah essentially just swapped Boozer and a conditional 1st for Jefferson. (Resigning Brewer and dealing the Memphis 1st makes it a wash). I'm down with that.

The only thing I worry about is that before the trading deadline we are going to dump a player to lessen a potential luxury tax payment. Just hope Jefferson's knee holds up.

Tweet from Marc Spears of Yahoo: "Wolves to trade Jefferson to Jazz for future 1st rd pick, 1st rd pick from Mem in Brewer trade and a trade exception, Y! Sports has learned."
