No it's not. Spending $100k on a car when you've already guaranteed yourself $9mm of pay (not including the free travel, per diem and endorsements) is not a problem. What should he drive?

Many NBA players been in this same situation. 60% are broke two years after their last game.

Facing those odds, being a mid/low-tier pg/sg and then paying for luxury things when nice, less expensive things would be perfectly suitable <<--- fiscal irresponsibility

if he dropped 200K+ on a car, it would be cause for concern about his financial responsibility. I consider an Audi A8L to be fairly modest for a NBA lottery pick. I'm sure it has all the bells and whistles on it, but it still can't be much more than 100K at most.
 
if we ran the numbers, I'd bet Alec's 100K car is more affordable for Alec than scooter's 8K Focus was for Scooter.
 
Also, something tells me that if we found out Hayward has spent as much on a car (and maybe he has), there wouldn't be anyone talking about how he's going to be bankrupt because of it.

I could care less who it is. This is more about another 21 year old kid spending crazy money when he gets his hands on it for the first time.

Burks is going into his 3rd year in the League. It's not like he got his 1st paycheck and dropped it on this.

I don't think it looks ghetto. I think it looks pretty cool. Burks is a big fan of everything being black. Remember the suit he wore to the draft? I think NBA TV voted him best dressed for draft day, or some web publication did.
