I've posted a lot on this thread because I think its hilarious that Cyrone Torbin is randomly making up facts about how much of a mentor JL was to Derrick Rose and now this spin off about how his father is vital to the Jazz's future successes.

Yes, but you'd have an arena full of fans wanting to see Jimmer play. JLIII never has to get on the court. Lucas is around as a veteran mentor. He has 1 year left on his deal, at which point his roster spot goes to Neto.

I am on the fence on this idea. However my thought is why didn't the front office make an offer to Marvin Williams? He is a good player. My guess is just not what we wanted going forward. Perhaps that's why Chicago let him go.

There were valid reasons Lucas stuck around. Most important was his role as friend and mentor to Derrick Rose. Lucas and Rose are shooting partners and have adjacent lockers at the United Center.

Coach Tom Thibodeau also may have been showing some loyalty. He worked as an assistant coach for Lucas' father of the same name twice in the 1990s, with San Antonio and Philadelphia.

1. He is a mentor

2. His father is a good dude to have on your side because of the work he does with troubled athletes. Pretty sure if DL signs a guy and he has problems, he can call up JLII to help him out. DL and JLII and III are friends, so this might be a favor. I don't care though because 3rd is 3rd string and doesn't effect winning on the court, they effect winning off the court.
 
even though lucas is not a good player, he is a vet that can help young guys. I think he can mentor young guys.

This post has changed my mind, I now think we have to get Jimmer.
We also need to buy the riff raff some good seats, right behind Boler and that other dude.
I may even try to get them some autographed Jimmer paraphernalia if they whine and complain about playing time loudly and constantly throughout the games.

Would be epic.

Easy to do, there are at least two moving parts.

It's a diorama set in the landscape of jazzfanz emphasizing all of the love, hate, and apathy rolled into one ball of clay so they are one, and yet separate and distinct in their own right.
It's not as much something you can see and understand as it is something you can feel.

Having a thread title that haters can suck it may go a bit beyond stating an opinion. And if you have been around at all you know anything to do with Jimmer is going to get an emotional reaction. So I am thinking you are more than an innocent bystander.

Well you did tell people who hated jimmer to "suck it". I think people are mostly just telling you to "suck it" back.

We're trying to figure out all the things Jimmer sucks more than and such. Kinda like:

Jimmer<Waiting at the DMV for 4.5 hours with the air conditioning broke in August

Jimmer<Getting kicked in the nads twice in one day

Jimmer<Having diarrhea on a 9 hour bus ride to Idaho with the air conditioning broke in August

And so on.
