All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

Whatever you think of Russell, the point is that people are very split on how he would do against the centers of the 80s and 90s (and early 2000s). And in a draft that's being determined by the voting public, that's all that matters.

Russell simply isn't a top pick in this thing. It's proven year after year. Even if I personally thought he was the GOAT, I still wouldn't touch him at the top of the draft.

This is true.
its also why oscar, west, havlicek, etc etc all are not worth what they should be worth in these things.

really, instead of all time draft it should be from magic/bird rookie year (79 maybe?) on. Maybe make an exception for Dr J.

Guys like cousy, unseld, frazier, gervin along with those others dont get the credit they probably deserve.

george mikan could take on hakeem and shaq at the same time with one arm tbh

With the 13th pick in the draft, Jeffrey 32 selects:
"The Black Mamba"/ Kobe Bryant
As close as it gets to MJ. Five NBA championships! Bryant is a 16-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. He ranks third and fourth on the league's all-time postseason scoring and all-time regular season scoring lists, respectively. At 34 years and 104 days of age, Bryant became the youngest player in league history to reach 30,000 career points. He is also the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history, which is insane given Kareem. Since his second year in the league, Bryant has been selected to start every All-Star Game. He is one of the most cold-blooded and clutch players ever. Popularity-wise he is also bullet-proof, earning the #1 vote-getter in last year's all-star game even though he only played a few games. With West as my starting PG, Bryant rounds out an amazing starting, high scoring, and defensively balanced backcourt.

Nice pick.
Somehow i feel like kobe is a little underrated...... maybe because he missed last year or something but honestly he should be ranked in a similar grouping to magic, bird, lebron, and jordan.

very good value on that pick bro

No way would I take that strategy. It would take all the fun out of it. For me I find this part way more fun and competitive than the tournament part. I'm going to build my team the way I think is best, I'm not going to build a team the kids will vote for. That would be boring.

Probably cause he is still a current player, tbh.

Wilt, Hakeem, Shaq all are 7'1, while Russell is just 6'9. Something to think about as well.

I agree completely. People want to hate on him because he was a Laker, and the false rape allegations, and because he was a dick and almost left the Lakers, demanding they get better talent, and that he only won five titles because of Shaq and Gasol. As if Shaq made Kobe which to me is laughable. As if Jordan, Russell, Magic, Bird didn't have multiple Hall of Famers with them.

I remember Jerry West saying Kobe was the most complete basketball player ever...or something like that. I don't know if West was right. But Kobe was that great and like fish said, had the killer gene that Michael and Bird had.

I bet the average age of posters on here is like 35.

Oscar-award winning performance in Conan the Destroyer...he ended up being disqualified but most critics say it was the greatest performance in film history.

I am a Conan and Wilt fan. But also a Turk and proud to give the needless info that before Conan the Destroyer, the idea of using a basketball player as the role of a Giant was used in the Turkish Medieval movie Tarkan: The Viking Blood in 1971.

Wilt Kareem and Shaq were true 7 footers very few are though. The average actual height of NBA centers has always been around 6'10.
