What's new

Andrew Bogut

Just think we could have traded Boozer for him straight up 3 or 4 years ago. And quite a # of people on hear railed against such an idea as a bad trade for Utah.

Two summers ago I was arguing fervently in favor of that exact trade. I felt like Bogut was about to break out. It's one of the few things I've ever been right about on this board.

I personally would love to see Bogut in a Jazz uniform. Make it happen!

I would like to see Bogut here. He would be the best center we have had since Tag (and pre-injury Memo, whom I would take over Tag any day). He blocks shots, clogs the lane, and has decent hands. Put him with a PG the caliber of Deron and I think he would shine.

Why do they want Jefferson? Or Fess? One has been a disappointment this year and the other is going to be out of the league at the close of this year.

Disappointment or not, he still puts up 17/9. I'm not saying the Bucks should or would do it but Jefferson's a decent commodity for us to have, and Jeff and Miles for Bogut and filler, or something like that could work down the line. Should Bogut become frustrated there, maybe we could swing something.

P.S.--Let me remain optimistic.

because they're losing like crazy and looking forward to 4+ more years of Salmons and Gooden at $15+ million per season.

When haven't they been losing like crazy? The one year they made it to the playoffs Bogut was sitting behind their bench with his arm in a cast.

So if they're looking at 4 more years of Salmons and Gooden at large prices? Logic then would dictate that they'd focus on unloading those nasty contracts instead of getting rid of their lone good player.

Guys, face it, Bogut stopped playing in Utah the day he left that school up north. He ain't coming back. All through Boozer's and Memo's careers here we've had to endure these stupid bogut trade ideas.

It isn't happenin people. MOVE ON

Sap for Bogut? Sap and Fes for Bogut? Hmm.

and how do you think they'll do that? sweeten the deal with a player that another team might actually want. for example, if they can get rid of one/both of those deals and convert Bogut into Jefferson, doesn't that look pretty good for them? if the Jazz like Bogut and Salmons better than AK and Jefferson, then why not? the Jazz might think they can get AK back for next season anyway.

Salmons and Bogut for Jefferson and Miles? They get shorter contracts and two solid players. We fill our two biggest needs, they save a lot of money (I think) long-term. Without looking, I'd guess the contracts would work.
