If Lonzo did get traded here, his father would suddenly reemerge and be an outspoken figure. We don't want any of that. The only reason he's quite now is because Lebron is ruling the roost.
 
Lonzo sucks... and his sideshow alone would likely make DL pass. Ricky is better and is here and is low maintenance and a good team guy.

I can only imagine how The Jazz FO would approach that arrangement, lol.

And 2x (distant) Unprotected 1sts for the privilege of having no competition in negotiations.

Those line ups are WAY better than anything youll hope for a decade after 'blowing' it up.

Best option. Sit AD (must stay healthy), sit Jrue, trade Mirotic and TANK. Trade AD when everyone is at the table (Id hope for straight swap for Zion), bring Jrue back next year.

This is a competent GMs dream.

The Lakers + Jrue is a lottery team still and would be better off moving Jrue too to go all in on youth.

The Celtics package + Jrue can still compete especially if they nab Horford in the deal too (which I think they would).

You are judging 2 x 21yr olds and a 23yr old in his sophomore season. They are still a year or two away from delivering on their potential.

Right so why keep Jrue in that case when if we're assuming in two years time they'll be reaching their potential Jrue will be on the wrong side of 30 and nearing the end of his contract when you could move him for assets or players that fit the timeline of the other young guys instead? That way as well you let the Warriors dynasty start to burn out (if it hadn't already been split up) and many of the other superstars in your conference start to hit the wrong side of 30 as well.
 
I trade AD to NY for Porzingis, Hardaway and NY's 2019 1st.

Then trade Mirotic.

Then find a big trade for Jrue.

Tank like hell (you can't tank if you take LA deal or you wait until summer).

Result for NOLA: top 3 NY pick, top 7 NOLA pick, pick from Jrue, Porzingis. That's a brighter future than Jrue and LA guys or Jrue and Tatum.
