Anthony Davis requests trade. Pels become league’s biggest seller

The Jazz avoided Jimmermania because it would be a distraction. What do you think they'd think of LaMania? Jimmer wouldn't move the needle enough (at all) to deal with the side show. LaVar is the same.

This Tweet may make the Lakers the only real player. At the cost in assets it is going to take to get AD, I don't know if a team can take the risk of AD leaving. I don't think we have another dark horse team come in like the Toronto/Kawhi, OKC/PG situations.

If the Lakers are the best offer that will come to New Orleans, I am hoping the Jazz can swoop in as a 3rd party to get a player.

If this is true then the league is gonna nuke the hell out of Davis with fines. Lakers better be careful with what they say or the league will nuke them for tampering again.

Lol I think it would be HALARIOUS if all of these "BBB" (big ball brand) Lonzo Ball Laker homers see their golden boy come to Utah of all places. I would love to take the hit of having Lonzo on the Jazz just to see those fans implode hahaha

I doubt it... AD in LA is really good for business... these things will be addressed in the new CBA and the agent player relationship thing will LeBron has going might be addressed somehow.

So Davis saying he only wants the Lakers is intended to soften the market so the Lakers don't have to give up quite so much to trade for him.

If I'm the Pels, I take my sweet time to find the right deals for all the players I'm moving--Nico, J'rue, etc.

Plus I might hold onto Davis through the fall until after this year's crop of FAs choose their destinations

And I'm not saying the Jazz should get Lonzo, just that he would be interesting.

He's underrated because of his weaknesses and peoples irrational hatred of his dad.
This is accurate, the guy is already one of the best passers in the league, is arguably an elite perimeter defender already who just does things you can't teach instinctively, super high IQ player on both sides, one of the fastest guys in the league with the ball in hand, improved handle, improved strength, etc.

He's just comically bad as a scoring threat most nights (but when he's on he looks like an All Star guy), and I also have some real concerns over his ability to stay on the floor as he missed half of his rookie season due to injury and he's set to miss close to half of this season as well. If a team that trades for him is able to make him even just a league average scorer consistently he's going to be a problem for the league.

How do you keep Lonzo on the court in the playoffs if we’re up by a small amount, if he’s shooting 40% from the line?

Actually how do you keep him on the court in a non-playoff game even?

People were trashing Simmons for this a while back too. Even though Lonzo might be interesting in one or two aspects, it’s a hard no for me. A very hard no.

Definite upgrade over Rubio. And a realistic possibility. Unlike Lonzo, who we have no reason to be talking about.

I agree... we just don't have the assets for that imo. Unless they panic sold him, but they don't seem to be in any hurry.

DM/Holiday/Ingles/Crowder (or something)/Gobert... **** would get real.
