What's new

Anyone have anything positive to say in the Jazz forum?

I'm not saying the Jazz are soft, but I'm positive I saw them out last Halloween dressed as a baby's bottom.

1. We have four very talented rookies/sophomores, whom I think will develop into a fantastic core.

2. We will likely have two lottery picks in a loaded 2012 draft, which will allow us to add even further to our already established young core.

3. We have two good veterans in Jefferson and Millsap who could be used in trades.

Basically in a few years, I believe we'll be looking at the most talented Jazz team we've seen since the Stockton and Malone days.

I for one am pleased with Favor's development. He is showing good scoring moves around the basket, and can perform well with clear out 1v1s. Kanter is a force to be reckoned with as well and Burks looks great also. I'm glad for what we have as far as young talent!

Pleased with Favors development? I'm not. The kid has basically the same stats per minute as last year, seems timid much more often than not, and is being outperformed by a kid a year younger who hadn't played competitive ball in over a year.

OK, but I can see the development as he uses moves he did not have before, and when plays are run for him he can post up and be patient, possibly opting for a pass instead. I have no doubt that numbers can be found to make him look bad, I'm just going on what I see.

Utah is actually in a position where they could be a year or two away from getting back to being a perrenial playoff team, and not just an automatic first round exit, which some fans seem to want. We own the biggest TPE in the NBA at the moment. We also have an excess of talented big men, which means we can afford to trade one of them, in order to gain more talent elsewhere. We have a very good chance at adding two valuble picks this year, whether they're used on rookies, or in a trade to bring an established player.

This team has as much flexibilty as any team in the league, and as frustrated as the majority of fans are, the truth is that things are actually working out quite well right now. The worst thing that could happen would be to win just enough games, that our youth continues to get burried on the bench, and we end up losing an asset, just to get bumped in the first round.

Hey guys, this is supposed to be a positive thread. I'll go first, CJ's contract will eventually run out.
