Utah is actually in a position where they could be a year or two away from getting back to being a perrenial playoff team, and not just an automatic first round exit, which some fans seem to want. We own the biggest TPE in the NBA at the moment. We also have an excess of talented big men, which means we can afford to trade one of them, in order to gain more talent elsewhere. We have a very good chance at adding two valuble picks this year, whether they're used on rookies, or in a trade to bring an established player.
This team has as much flexibilty as any team in the league, and as frustrated as the majority of fans are, the truth is that things are actually working out quite well right now. The worst thing that could happen would be to win just enough games, that our youth continues to get burried on the bench, and we end up losing an asset, just to get bumped in the first round.
