The doctors are part of the Big Pharma industry; they also control the FDA; and they give millions in campaign contributions through their lobbyists. Not only that, they hire disinformation specialists like the Quackwatch guy. I actually tangled with another one, through email, in addition to Barrett -- he had a username that I forget but he was affiliated with one of the big medical schools in Michigan, I think it was. He was decrying holistic cancer treatment and touting chemo on various websites. Well, I learned he had a big investment in a new chemotherapy drug, so he obviously had a conflict of interest.

See what I added, but I wouldn't say control as influence and they do this through lobbying. But also they influence politicians to appoint their former executives in high level positions at government agencies like the FDA. They also sponsor the research into the efficacy of their products which is used as the benchmark for approval. However, the bias that results has caused so many law suits against them for putting harmful products on the market. Just go to the website of a law firm that does class action suits regarding medical issues and you will find pages of them. Control is probably too strong a word, but influence to the point of control is what they do. Same thing the CIA has perfected to a high art. Payoffs to leaders and establishing disinformation / propaganda in the countries with establishment of newspapers run by the CIA. People think I'm an idiot, but I can list some book written by CIA agents who describe these things.

Nearly 1000 people, mostly children, have died of measles in Madagascar since October. In this country we're so isolated from the effects of these diseases, and people are so willfully ignorant, that nobody thinks it can happen or what would happen to them.

I feel we can pretty much improve on everything. Even vaccines. But that is nowhere close to saying they cause autism or are otherwise dangerous. They aren’t.

But we are starting to see diseasone come back that are basically eradicated in the US. Like measles.

There is no argument, anti-vaccers are ****wits who put other people and their infant children at risk. The rise of this movement is another sign post of the decline of our society. How much money is the pharmaceutical company making on a dose of MMR? Please provide the details. Make sure you include the costs of potential litigation from a kid who takes a vaccine, gets a cold from another kid, and the parent blames the fever on the vaccine.
