37.5 inches. Highest max vertical leap of all frontcourt prospects available in this year's Draft.

No other forward jumped higher than Babbitt.

The guy is a great leaper and tremendous athlete at 6'9" 218 with an incredible 6'11.25" wingspan.

He tested near the top in agility and strength as well.

The combine testing found him to be perhaps the most athletic forward in this year's draft.

He's the best shooter/scorer by far of all the frontcourt prospects.

CJ Miles (9.9 ppg. 2.7 rpg. 1.7 apg) and Andrei Kirilenko are NOT the answers at SF. Kirilenko doesn't provide the consistent shooting/ball handling/creativity the Jazz need at that position, while Miles is too small (6'6") and too mediocre to occupy the position full time.

That's why the Jazz may be interested in upgrading the SF position with this multi-skilled 6'9" leaper/shooter Babbitt.

John Wall had a 39" vert if I remember correctly.

Trouble reading?

John Wall's not a forward.

If the Jazz want an athletic frontcourt player, Babbitt tested as perhaps the most athletic frontcourt player available in this year's draft.

No other frontcourt player available can match his combination of size, skills, leaping ability and strength.

Babbitt leads all prospects in +/- ratio

Babbitt leads all prospects with an overall net +/- ratio of 22.1 points.

The eye-opener is defensively. Babbitt leads all prospects in defensive +/- ratio. When Babbitt was on the court, his team was much better defensively. Per 40 minutes, Nevada's opponents scored just 73.4 points when Babbitt was ON the court, compared to 92.3 points when Babbitt was OFF the court.

The guy's a special player. Superior skills + athleticism (recorded highest max vertical among all frontcourt players) + high bball IQ. He'll be a solid team defender in the NBA and one of the better shooters/scorers in the league.

Babbitt far superior

Luke Babbitt is superior to Gordon Hayward in virtually every aspect of the game: shooting, ball handling, rebounding, driving, face up, post up, transition, 1/2 court, creates own shot, creates for teammates, bball IQ etc. Babbitt also has the superior physical dimensions and athleticism. After watching both players in action, it's easy to see why most NBA people have Babbitt ranked higher.

There is no question which player is better.
It's Babbitt.

The real question if he is so good why hasn't he ever played in the NCAA tourney?

Physically he is close to the same size as millsap minus 30-40 pounds of muscle. He appears to be a little better athlete than Millsap.

Here's the problem, there was a reason that the draft sites were calling him an average athlete previous to the pre-draft camp measurements. His athleticism doesn't really translate into his game all that well for whatever reason.

Babbitt is an interesting prospect. As we all have heard the Jazz are in love with him.
I think he makes more sense than gordon honzward @ 9.
