Best Big Al trade

Al to Houston for Lowry, Dalembert and hopefully a pick. Hence we get Lowry and Quincy Miller or Terrence Jones. Dalembert is a back-up big.

If the Jazz don't get Harden or Ibaka in 2013, then they had better have had the foresight to entertain the idea of Big Al for Kendrick Perkins.

I think OKC will find a way to keep their Big 4. Without Perk, they'd still have Ibaka, Collison, Mohammed or some other serviceable vet, and probably another serviceable big that they got in the draft. Not bad when you're keeping three max-level perimeter players.

is it a good say what
or a bad say what

we need defense at center.
kanter doenst seem ready.
so perks sap and favors the majority of minutes is a great lineup.
see a defensive lineup of sap, favors and perk.
it will give people nightmares

I dont think OKC does it. al jeff doesnt fit their system
but maybe get a third team invovled send al to the third team and let third team send stuff to okc

A bad one, but I see where you're coming from. It's a mismatch for both systems unless Tyrone changes the system.
For one, we're an inside out offense. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does Perkins have any offense?
Second, OKC is a pick and roll offense. Al doesn't fit there at all.
So both teams would have to make changes. Plus if we get another big, then Kanter will only get 10 minutes a game again unless Perkins gets <30, but even so, the rotations would be all messed up. We just need to get rid of a big for Kanter.

Be patient with KOC. I want Jefferson gone as much as anyone and have been calling for him to be traded since last offseason, but the right deal will come around.

After the season starts I can see a couple of key big men getting hurt and KOC will be getting calls with other GMs desperate to keep their teams competitive.

I can also see the Mavs looking for expiring contracts as to create the needed cap space to chase Dwight next offseason. It would be great to see DWill and Jefferson paired up again but on a different team.

Be patient and Jefferson will bring the needed value in a trade when someone gets desperate.

we dont need offense from perks.
i want perks for defense.
defense wns championships

al should team up with lebron, cus they fit together.

perks is needed for defense give kanter 20 minutes
favors 36
sap 36
perks 25

Wait, that's 117 minutes. Sap plays the 3 some, I guess?
I think it'd be good to have Perkins if Milsap plays some 3. Then you could run a big 3 lineup with Favs, Sap, and Perks and even get Kanter in there. That way the offense could still go inside out. But still, OKC would never want Big Al.

yeah koc wouldnt want big al. in my orignal al for perks psot i said a big lineup of sap, favors and perks would be deadly on defense. run the pick and roll for favors.
i know koc wouldnt want Al he doesnt fit there. but maybe they could use hima s expiring or whatever. i dont know their cap situation eg: westbrook/ ibaka/ harden all need to be extended.

maybe they get a third team involved

The right deal is any deal that involves a small of some value. Addition by subtraction will be huge: getting rid of Big al is the best thing we could do.

The problem with that is that the Jazz are likely the desperate ones, and that is likely to only get worse with Favors undoubtedly improving, Kanter undoubtedly improving, and Millsap very very likely to improve again as well.

If it was monopoly money, I'd even suggest waiving or amnestying the dude. Big Roadblock needs to ****ing go.

I would like to sign or get by trade Dragic. Martin is questionable, both because he is injury-prone and one-dimensional. I wasn't thinking of him being third-string but sharing minutes. In such a scenario, we'd probably need to release Watson or not re-sign Tinsley, and use Burks as third-string PG in addition to playing SG. Imagine having both Korver and Martin on the team as shooters though, both coming off the bench. It's probably not the best we can get for Al and Devin, though.

So far as AK, look at what Boris Diaw is doing for the Spurs, and AK is probably better than Diaw, though they are pretty close as players. I see AK in a similar role with the Jazz, mainly as a defender and rebounder, with better playmaking skills -- Diaw is probably a better rebounder because he is stronger.

If we don't sign AK or a player like him, then we might want to stick with Al and more minutes for Millsap at the 3.

Stop, just stop. The AK experiment ran its course. Dude is the quintessential prima donna and the antithesis of what you want on a successful, championship-type team.

IMO, his value is so low right now that it makes no sense to trade him, unless of course we're shocked with an amazing offer by some drunk GM. That said, the way to go is to keep him, start the Millsap-Jefferson-Favors lineup for the first month or two as one, it's highly productive, and two, it allows both Favors and Jefferson to get the time we need them to get. The former so he can develop. The latter so we can get some 20/10 type numbers from him and drive his value back up a couple notches. If it works as well as it did this year, and we are headed toward a 4-5 seed, then his value could be pretty freakin' high. And at that point, we may get a real solid offer which we could accept or we can play with house money and shoot for a higher playoff seed. A double-edged sword of sorts but a much better "predicament" to be in than we are currently.

We are going to be headed for a 4-5 seed and trade him? I think not.
