But the hole at PG is huge? Brandon Knight won't fill it at least for a couple years. And it's not like PGs are that rare. Guys that are 6' 11" 260 lbs. on the other hand...

Guess that's why we had such great ones as McLeod, Palacio, Hart and Brevin Knight. Both Kanter and Brandon Knight are huge risks. That's also the case with Williams (a tweener?) and even Irving (only played 11 games). Last season there seemed to be 5 "cant-miss" prospects (and even Cousind had some red flags). Not the case this draft.

At least it seems Knight and Kanter are both high-character guys. I don't see problems with any of them fitting in with the culture of the team.

Extremely unlikely Williams will be there at #3. I'd take Leonard at #3 in a heartbeat. Very coachable and great work ethic to go with that amazing wingspan. Maybe the next Dr. J... I wouldn't go for any of the big men at #3; too early. Every indication we get from KOC and Coach Ty is they are looking for that #3 to step right in and PLAY. None of the bigs, IMO, appear ready for much NBA-level court time this season.
At #12, I expect Vucevic to still be there, not so with Kanter. Vucevic is also very coachable, nice wingspan and work ethic, although still a bit of a project. No big man could help us in year 1 anyway; I expect to see Favors and Jefferson starting...

Yeah, if we could trade UP from the #12, that'd be great. Maybe Kirilenko in a package; who knows. If I'm KOC, I'm looking at any kinda offer if someone wants to trade down for that #12...

Not trying to troll your thread but what about Burks at #12 who I've seen in a few mocks that low?

Personally, I'd love Singleton, Biyombo or Burks at 12. Oddly enough, I'm not as hung up on who we get at #3, whether it's Kanter, Williams or Knight, and weirdest of all, for some reason I do not trust Williams and how his defense and first step will translate at this level.

I think I might be leaning towards Marshon Brooks over Burks.

I just personally have a considerable amount of faith in Al Jefferson. I understand the whole "draft the best possible athlete" concept regardless of a teams needs, but in my opinion both Brandon Knight and Enes Kanter are extremely high risk/high reward, and the only reason I root for Knight is the fact that our void at PG will be a lot worse 2 years down the line, than the one at C.

and KEK i completely agree, personally Im quite pumped to see who we pick at #12 since its a pick no one expects to create a huge difference amongst our team, yet there are still quite a few players who certainly good, given that they approach their ceilings. Pick #3 is going to be a hard one to predict, since I feel like anthing can happen, really. Maybe Kahn might pick Valancuinas or some Euro, you never really know. Draft Day will be very interesting, I can hardly wait.

Dalamon - That's cool. Your POV makes sense and I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise or be a dick about it.
Me, I'm just thinking at 3 your team's roster doesn't factor in. Get the most value out of the pick and then you have another asset to spend. And since I see PGs as plentiful and common, whereas talented big guys are more rare I rate Kanter more valuable/trade-able than Knight.

I'm really not too worried about the Jazz at PG. Harris will hold the spot warm until a PG comes along that I can get excited about.
And if the Jazz do end up drafting Fredette I'll just hope that he'll develop a passing game patterned after Stockton and Nash, since he cites them along with Deron, as his favorite players. And if he sucks there's always UNC's Kendall Marshall in the late first/early second round next year. He made his teammates better and is compared to Mark Jackson. I like players like that. Very John Stockton-esque.

I just don't see Williams slipping to three. It's too bad too because there aren't any other players, including Irving that I feel have as much immediate impact potential as Williams.

I voted Knight and Bismack. I believe the Bucks are trying to shop Jennings thus needing a PG.. and Jimmer's looking like their guy.

Most mocks have Burks gone at 10, so I didn't include him.
