Best stuff on Netflix

I've probably already pimped a few years ago but Happy Valley is one of the best, if not the best, crime thriller series on Netflix. Sans Breaking Bad because it has more seasons. But Happy Valley's 2 short seasons are balls to the wall right from the start. So, so good. So intense. Think Fargo if you took all the comedy and niceness out of it and made it 100% intense AF.

Allegedly the are doing a season 3 now which I am very very excited for.

You do need subtitles most likely because they have heavy heavy british, scottish, irish accents (wherever they are from).

Okay, I’m gonna sit down the next week and watch this. I watched the first 3-4 episodes about five years ago but never finished it. I had started it because iirc, it had one of thee highest ratings for a show on IMDb. I wanna say not just like 8.8 high but in the 9’s. I liked it a lot. I’m def gonna revisit now.

I don’t recall needing subtitles though maybe I’m wrong.

Better than Broadchurch? or the Killing?

Yes, I've seen both and liked both but they can drag. I think Happy Valley is 2 6 episode seasons so it literally kicks you in the face first episode and is emotionally draining and intense for the entire season. I did like BC and Killing though. They are both good not spectacular though.

I LOVED season 1 of The Missing. The lead, Nesbitt, crushed it. The last episode left a bit to be desired though.

Ever see?

He was a bad guy in a movie called Conspiracy Theory as well.

I forgot about that one - I actually saw it in the movies about a hundred years ago. I need to re-watch one day, wasn't what I was expecting.

In Green Room my description of "bad guy" was really a euphemism for scum bag, lol.

There's a new show on SyFy called Valgrant Queen that has a cyberpunk feel to it. I like the style to it but half way through the first episode and it's pretty terrible. Hopefully, it gets better.

Yeah I like it to drag on though... the more episodes the better. I'd never understand why some series feel the need to wrap things up quickly.

Broadchurch wrapped things up in 1 season and that was too quick for me.

BC season 1 was quite good. Didn't like season 2 as much for whatever reason. It's been awhile though. Happy Valley is legit 10x better than either though. It's not even close.

No they didn’t.

Yeah cos they revealed who was the killer in season 1 - there was no suspense left for the other seasons.
