Biggest Reason We Lost?

If Corbin had coached perfectly, we may have been able to take one game in this series, but I doubt it.

The Spurs are just THAT much better.

The Jazz can't score. That's why they play Al Jefferson in the first place. It's like dating someone you're not all that into, but you can't get going with anyone else.

Tons of reasons, but my biggest one is Popvich just completely outcoached and outclassed Ty.

well we will see.
i for one dont believe spurs are vastly superior.
they should have won the series
but not by sweeping the jazz on avg 15+ points

Spurs IS the much superior team... and pretty much the nightmare matchup for the Jazz - A PG that can penetrate (jazz has long struggled against lightning fast guards - even Beaubois torched us), SG that draws a lot of fouls when they can't score, dominant big man that shut down undersized Jefferson, and space the floor so well with 3 point shooters. And most importantly, COY in Pop vs Rookie coach Corbin. My most optimistic projection was Spurs 4-1 with us stealing the 3rd game, but honestly, Spurs 2nd unit alone can probably beat us in 7 games anyway.

wow

REALLY????????????????????????????????????

wow. this is the biggest myth

When the Jazz made their big run in the 4th quarter, cutting an 18-point deficit to 4pts, the line-up was Harris, Carroll, Millsap, Favors and Jefferson. Jefferson scored 10 points on 5/6 shooting. He didn't kill us.

I don't blame Corbin. The Jazz lost because we don't have any shooters on the wing to a) make shots, and b) make other plays possible. No one could get a lane to the basket.

I find it pretty hard to blame a coach when the series was really out of reach. I really thought he put forth a good game plan on Parker starting in the 3rd game (something that has gone relatively unnoticed/not praised by Jazzfanz), which really made those games winnable if our shooting would have stepped up.

I would say we lost more because Pop is a great coach, not because Corbin is some terrible hack.

that is because big al cant play pick and roll defense.
simple as THAT

Seriously, Millsap shot 4/17 against Boris Diaw and Stephen Jackson, Hayward was 0 for 7, Burks was 0 for 8, and our bench only scored 10 pts in the entire game, yet you guys are ranting about Al Jefferson. The Spurs shot 38% from the floor and got out-rebounded by 14, and you're still blaming this loss on Al's pick-and-roll defense. His pick-and-roll defense isn't good, but you've got blinders on. It's seriously lame.

Stop using logic.

They need a scapegoat now that Miles is injured. Corbin, Howard's 15 mpg, and Jefferson.
