Boozer thinks Rose better than D-Will

On Rose: What memo said.

Rondo is in the discussion because he's averaging 13.4 assists per game and his shooting percentage is higher than Deron's (by a lot, actually). He just doesn't shoot as often, not unlike another point guard we all know and love. I don't know why his free throw percentage is so terrible, though.

Rondo has a team and I'm still not sure he's that good. He's fast, he has nice vision and passing ability, he plays hard, and he's generally crafty. But he's a terrible shooter, and that can not be understated enough. That is one of the hugest holes a player can possibly have. If he was a halfway respectable shooter Boston wins a championship in 6 last year.

Nice find, MIM. I would love to see Locke haters step to that.

I like Charles Barkley, but only because he's an ***. His believing that Deron isn't #1 actually sits better with me. Boozer's a ******* and anyone that thinks an athletic, inefficient chucker is better than an actual player can suck my *******.

Can I get first suckage? Your hugest, of course.

Exactly. Could you imagine what DWill, Paul, or Nash would do in Rondo's place?

Still don't see how 53% (just under 50 career) translates to "terrible shooter."

as far as TS% goes D-rose isn't even close to Deron

just read the locke post above explaining it, but yeh it's not close

Some of you guys are morons. Tell me, what should Boozer say? His goal isn't to please Jazz fans.

Apparently, Boozer should be giving credit to Deron over his own teammate who is going to be a leading candidate for MVP! Where's Deron in any discussion? I wonder if anyone outside of Utah would pick Deron over Rose for their point guard.

Rose as a truly great PG is either suspect or subjective. Prima facie, he reminds me of a prime Steve Francis, himself a poor man's Isiah Thomas, that is benefiting from the current rules in manner separate but equal to a name like Nash.

His facilitation ability -- the Stockton Standard of running a game without needing to take a shot -- is highly suspect. And his hype seems all too obvious, as both market bias and prerequisite. Combining that with Utah's disinterest in IMPROVING, rather than holding steady, I can see why Deron would be interested in getting out of a Jazz uniform.

Frankly, he's been probably the most dissed star in Utah's history. One all-star game. ONE. Losing out to Chauncey ****ing Billups for an All-NBA selection.

Paul drops off? Well, time to anoint a new top Point. As a sine qua non, thus not even a bet, it won't be, isn't, and of course has never been Deron. From a media perspective, and as prerogative.

As far as Boozer hatred, forest for the trees never seems to be en vogue as consideration for this pitchfork fanbase. A kid was zombified in Haiti: quick, what does this have to do with BOOZER?

The reality and concern shouldn't be Boozer trying to boost his own team's morale by hyping his star Point, but should be a question of the media's biases and Utah management's disinterest in either helping Deron with surrounding talent, or pushing him to the media relative to other markets and ownerships (Paul Allen comes to mind).

But I suppose Boozer hate is not only its own point, but also logic. Particularly as the ridiculous assumptions about his abilities being "system"-created fall apart.

Top 5 point guards, okay here goes-
1. Delonte West
2. Eric Maynor
3. Rafer Alston
4. BenO Udrih
5. Nate Robinson

Dude seriously that is the worst list on the board. GTFO.

LOL @ Rondo, arguably the best PG in the league right now, being # 8 on Chad's list. Just...LOL.

Why lol?

This is arguably the best collection of point guards playing in their prime the NBA has ever seen. I think Rondo is vastly overrated. He's in a perfect situation for him. He plays with 3 HOFers. How could he not pile up assists in that lineup. He can't shoot. 46% from the FT line is embarrassing for any guard in the NBA.

Give me a compelling argument why Rondo is better than any of those guys I put in front of him.

Uh, what was that? Are you going to make a case or just spout off like a typical forum fool?

30% from 3, 46% from the line. Did you know a layup is not the same as a jumpshot? It's common knowledge Rondo can't hit a shot in-game, he allowed the Lakers to play 5 on 4 on defense last year.

What evidence do you have that Rondo is a good jumpshooter? FG% is probably the worst indicator of a jump shooter as most centers have the best FG% in the NBA. Are you saying Joel Pryzbilla and Nene are the best shooters in the game today?

Your turn. If you don't want to continue to just spout of like a typical forum fool, I'll assume that you forfeit your laughably stupid point.

What is laughably stupid is the number of people that like to spend their time on forums insulting total strangers. No one said anything about jump shots. The bottom line is that if an NBA player is hitting more than fifty percent of his shots, he's doing okay in my book. It means he's making the correct choices in the shots he takes. I never said he was a good jump shooter, just that he's not a terrible shooter, in general. The original question was whether or not Rondo belonged in the discussion and I think he clearly does for the reasons I stated.

And go on, when I stop responding because I've decided there are more important things in the world than bickering with you, take the childish way out and assume I've forfeited the point. My feeling is that's what you'd do no matter what I say.
