I think Hayward can sign a 1x1 max deal with Utah and still qualify for mega-max during the next 2 seasons if he makes All NBA. He's close.
Can't believe the disrespect y'all showing Thomas. He is better then ANY single player the jazz havd. Notice how he lead his team to the conference finals. and people wonder why jazz fans are always considered the worst when it comes to NBA teams.lmao. With or without Hayward y'all are going nowhere. Warriorz, spurs, rockets are all set up better for futures and Denver,Portland and OKC all have pieces that make for a better future. Jazz fans are like the average girl at school who thinks she hot **** and ends up all alone because of her snobby attitude. Y'all might not like it,y'all night even deny it but it's the truth. Do any of you honestly see the Jazz winning a title in the next 10 years?20 years? Only way it happens if Jazz leave Utah and please change the name of your team. Jazz music was probably banned in Utah back in the days when it was starting out
Gordon's best move financially is to sign a 1x1 max extension with the Jazz and see if he can make All NBA during the next one or two seasons. He just made his first All Star game and took another step forward in the Playoffs. He could make All NBA next year if things break right for him.

Or he could get injured, or his play could degrade, and he never gets a long-term max. Is Gordon a gambling man?
That Boston is getting thrashed this bad, even worse than we did against Golden State, and their whole team is 100% healthy reinforces the fact that Boston is not better than the Jazz in any way shape or form. I hope gordon is watching closely.
Utah lost pretty badly to Golden State too.
You can't compare this to Utah/GS. It's like comparing getting punched in the head to having it blown clean off.
You can. Both are going to sweeps and neither team had a chance in hell.
You're right, if Boston trades for Jimmy Butler or Paul George and completely shakes up their roster it's a different story. But I think only then does it become a conversation. They don't have a player of the caliber of Gobert or Hayward on this team as of right now. And that's really obvious. Because yes GS beat us handily (as they will beat the Spurs, and Portland before us), but we didn't get beat this bad. We weren't this incompetent. We were able to do some things against them, put pressure on them. We really could have won game 3 if Hill had played. And you say we can't bring back Hill... but if that's true then that just puts us in the same position as Boston: we have to sign some people over the summer. There are other good point guards attainable. And we do have a pretty good chance with signing Hill assuming Gordon is willing to sign too.
I don't know that I see Paul George getting traded early in the offseason. I believe they'll hold out a little -- hold out long enough that a lot of the FA dominos will have fallen (Hayward). I'd also have a hard time believing Chicago agrees to an early deal with Boston that doesn't include this year's pick -- again after Hayward will have to make a decision. This all works in our favor.
Danny Ainge isn't giving up that pick. He wouldn't even give up last year's less useful picks.
Kinda what im thinking too.If I was a Celtics fan, I'd want to keep the picks instead of going into "Win-Now" mode right now in the Warriors/LeBron era. Give yourself a chance to peak right when they go away.
Kinda what im thinking too.
Especially since you already have a really good team anyway. Don't even have to tank at all.
Celtics are so lucky. Really no wrong thing they can do at this point.
Give up assets for Paul George, they have a bad season due to subpar interior defense, George leaves for the Lakers. That seems pretty wrong.
