Greg Oden has suffered a setback in his recovery from knee surgery and will restructure his one-year deal with the Blazers for a lesser amount, according to a report.
Oden was examined by his doctor on Thursday and was given the approval to expand his activity.
LaMarcus Aldridge missed the Trail Blazers first practice of the 2011-12 season after he had a recurrence of a heart issue that first surfaced in 2007.
Aldridge had a procedure Friday to treat Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (also known as WPW), an abnormality of the heart's electrical system that can cause an abnormal heartbeat and dizziness. Aldridge will be out one to two weeks, acting general manager Chad Buchanan said.
This didn't come out of nowhere, though. Oden had a bad injury history going into OSU and ONE LEG IS LONGER THAN THE OTHER. Before Roy was drafted it was WELL known that Roy had missing cruciate ligaments.wow, very sad. they're all so young, way too young to have these kinds of issues. it does seem like the Trailblazers having more than their fair share of difficulties.

Maybe the Blazers are cursed, but **** them.
In regards to Brandon Roy, this is too bad for the most part. However, he made ~$60 million, earned ROY, had a couple of All-Star appearances and great seasons WITHOUT knees. For him to do as much as he did totally defies the odds.
In an era of pricks like The Chosen One, Duron, Boozer, Kobe, Dwade, Melo, Amare, etc, it was nice to see a star that still seemed decently humble, team oriented, and wasn't just a complete jerk.
