I feel very strongly against keeping Favors. I would also try to trade Joe Johnson (and Alec Burks, but I'm not giving thing up to dump him, and I doubt we can do that).
We have Ricky Rubio and Rudy Gobert. Those are our two most talented players on the roster, build around them. That's means shooting, shooting, shooting.
Luckily we have Hood/Mitchell who both seem like they could really benefit from a guy like Rubio. I think that is our SWOTF (Starting wings of the future). Since the PF market is so ****ing bone dry, both in trades and FA, we should start Ingles at PF.
Rubio/Exum/Neto
Mitchell/Burks
Hood
Ingles/Bolomboy
Gobert/Bradley
Fill in the bench w/ w/e were able to get out of the trades. Experiment the **** out of small lineups focus around Rubio/Gobert.
Basically what we need to figure out is what we can get for Joe Johnson, Boris Diaw, and Derrick Favors.
Another poster suggested two players I found intriguing: Mario Hezonja and Stanley Johnson. Both are "bust" by current consensus, but are big wings who have talent and athletic ability. Maybe they could thrive in Utah's system?
Working the trade machine this is what I was able to come up with:

I'm guessing both teams (Orlando and Detroit) want to make playoffs and Joe Johnson gives them a vet leader who can shoot. Both teams desperately need shooting, so that is my basis of logic of why they *may* want these deals. Of those deals I probably prefer Hezonja just because we don't have to take back salary into 2018-2019 like we do for Detroit (but I think the Detroit deal might be more realistic).
As far as Diaw goes, you have to look at the heavily LT strapped teams, like Portland.

Is Portland desperate enough to just dump Harkless? I dont know.
Cleveland is the next team. They were rumored to want to dump Shumpert. Could the Jazz offer Diaw up to get Cedi Osman while taking on a salary dump?

That's all I have atm for trade ideas. They all probably suck, are completely unrealistic, and will never happen.
