Build Around Rubio/Gobert

Fish really had to be an ******* and post his Burks spam post in every thread to derail it.
Must be really tough on everyone.

My deepest apologies. I hope everyone can recover from what I put them through.

I don't think that sounds sincere fish. Just think about what you've done! With those sort of glib ******** insincere statements you could start for the celtics.

I was thinking about how many players we have on our team who can elevate their game through motivation and/or anger of this offseason. There's no doubt Rudy is going to take this offseason and the mockings of Thomas and Whiteside and the sellout's betrayal as inspiration and play better. What other players have this attribute? I think Mitchell is the type of guy who falls under this category as well. Maybe Ingles.

I don't see guys like Burks or Hood having this attribute.

Bolomboy likely does but we haven't had a chance to see it; but he strikes me as the type of player who would play better angry or with something to prove.

Don't think Ingles will be playing PF. It's either JJ or Favors, but that's going to be a weird situation with both those guys being potential trade possibilities. I think it's going to be more of a wait and see type situation before we decide who we will try to keep or trade. Right now, Rudy is the only player I'm 100% sure about.

One scenario I could see is trading Favors to pick up a first from someone and then trading for Ryno and grabbing another 1st to take on his deal. Really not sure about that, though, as right now nothing sounds great or even good. Plus, we'd probably have to play Favors for a while to show he's healthy.

If we had a PG who could shoot, I'd probably want to keep Favors. I'm really not sure I want to keep Rubio and trade Favors.

Yep, wait and see how the team comes together before deciding on any absolute direction.

If you need that to elevate your game you probably arent that good. I think everyone on the team has shown an ability to get better if they arent held back by their bodies.

There's a difference between 'getting better' or improving and using others who have wronged or insulted you for motivation to work harder, improve and play better.

A great example is Wesbbrook: http://www.rsvlts.com/2015/09/16/nba-players-when-angry

Some players don't improve when challenged, some do.

All that is proof of is player's who get angry during a game who get an adrenaline boost. I dont know if that translates to meticulous off-season work. If a player can use that, good for them, but I dont think the source of inspiration matters as long as you do the work.

I think Rubio is the new Mo Williams or Jamal Tinsley as the Jazz seek to acquire and develop young talent. He's a great veteran presence, an excellent player and transitionary point guard while the Jazz decide their direction.

lmao gtfo

Rubio is going to be 27 heading into his first Jazz season. I dont think he has played his best basketball yet unlike those two you just mentioned.

The Jazz could give a mother**** about the next PG. They are looking at the next wing.
