As well as race, economic status, political affiliation, gender, nationality... religion is no better and no worse.

Singling out religion as some big bad instead of just one more of the group is silly.

True, but religion really is worse than the others. History has proved it. Actually, political oppression might have it on religion.

No it hasn't. History has proven that terrible things are done in religions name among others. Calling one worse than the others is pure opinion.

It's also just one day after the order was announced and he received all kinds of negative publicity about it. Also a coincidence?

Judge Scott N. Johansen was appointed to the Seventh District Juvenile Court in January 1992 by Gov. Norman H. Bangerter after serving as Emery County attorney since 1979. He serves Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan counties. He received a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark College of Law at Brigham Young University in 1977 and practiced with the Price law firm of Frandsen, Keller & Jensen from 1977 to 1979. He served as city attorney for several cities and towns in Carbon, Emery, and Sanpete counties and is a former president of the Utah Association of Counties.
