is like syaing to doc he doc i have a migraine he then makes a small incision on my arm and stitches me up.

that wont cure my migraine but if im stupid enough i might think i am cured :P

If you can't see several social issues that I agree with the left on then that's your problem. They have all been gone over in length. Nice to know you are that hung up on me though.

@Log - by "lean" left I mean a slight inclination to that side. Maybe 60/40 to the left.

What would you say are the social political leanings of someone that is pro pot, pro gay marriage, pro amnesty for "illegals" (short of those with additional hard crimes), pro abortion, anti affirmitive action (because it doesn't fix the very real problem), pro unions as long as they stay focused, believes we have failed on education and especially for inner city kids, wants to see equal pay and benefits for women in the workforce and thinks that there is systemic problems with how minorities are treated but that the solution is not one sided?

I say a small lean to the left and Log said middle of the road. But certainly not to the right.

Edit: It is possible that our own bubbles are coloring our judgement. I run in, I am assuming, more conservative circles so to them I am a left leaner. You run in, I'm assuming, more liberal circles and I am to the right of them.

Do you only ever speak in extremes? Conflating sex with gender yet again, of course. Also, it's reassuring that the IOC spent what seems like seconds coming to the very obvious decision of letting Caitlyn keep her medal. Good.

I'm confused.

The petition is real. Log's response was sarcasm. Not sure where the double sarcasm enters into the story.



I'd respect her much more if I didn't have such a strong sense that Caitlyn Jenner, and Bruce before her, is the ultimate self promoter. It causes me to discount the difficulties she (he) may have faced during her (his) lifetime.
 
Two things:

1. If someone feels they need to make changes to be true to themselves, more power to them. Often, it does take real bravery to do so.

2. In this particular case, I felt like the "reveal" itself was less about inspiring and empowering transgenders, and more about personal attention whoring.
 
It is sad that the world celebrates and applauds mutilation, just because the person suffers from a disorder that makes him think he is the wrong sex.
it is not brave or heroic to mutilate yourself because you're suffering from Gender identity disorder. that isnt cured by mutilation

now they want to remove gender from birth certificates. all because of some mental illness that makes you think u are trapped in wrong body.
make taxpayers pay for these mutilations.

sigh sad sad sad world we live in.


will we pay for the wiggers and wanksters the pigment transformation surgery too? because lets face it they are confused about their pigmentation. they are african americans trapped in white mans bodies

There you go being arbitrary again to promote your views over everyone else's. You can't blur a line in some places and draw the same line sharp in others.


Edit:

So here is a hypothetical (for everyone, not aimed at dal necessarily)...

LeBron James decides that he will follow the feelings he has had since he was 2 and live publicly as a woman. He feels far more comfortable in woman's body. He starts taking hormones and basically does exactly what Jenner did, complete with cover photo and 1 hour special on ESPN. Then he publicly states he is no longer comfortable being in a men's locker room. He wants to play in the WNBA with his (now her) "own kind".

Is it allowed? Why or why not?
